I went to the pharmacy today and was treated appallingly by the two women at the front desk. I wanted to return a nightie I had purchased 2 weeks ago as it didn’t fit. At the time of purchase I checked with the young man who served me and he confirmed I could return if it wasn’t the correct size. He was helpful and polite. When I got home I took the nightie out of the bag, held it up against myself, realised it was far too big, and returned in, folded neatly, to the bag. I placed the bag on a shelf in my wardrobe where it has remained until today, when I took it out to return it.When I arrived at the pharmacy there were two late middle age women at the front counter. I explained why I needed to return the nightie. One of the women responded‘I hope you’ve got the receipt’, and I told her it was in the bag and handed it to her.(I detected an overt eye roll) The woman took the nightie out of the bag, shook it out, then placed it to her face and sniffed it. She then said to me that the nightie smelled of smoke, and she wouldn’t accept it for a refund. I was surprised, and said ‘it couldn’t, it’s only been in a bag in my wardrobe and in the car with me, and I don’t smoke’ she then passed it to the other woman and said’ it smells of smoke doesn’t it’. The other woman also put it to her face and sniff it, and and said ‘yes it does’ . The first woman told me she wouldn’t accept it to return. I was stunned and didn’t really know how to respond. I said that’s not possible and asked to speak with the manager. (Very ‘Karen’ I know, but I didn’t know what else to do!) The woman smugly replied ’That would be me, and I’m not taking it back’. (Pursed lips) I was stunned, and embarrassed, and also processing how bizarre the ‘sniffing’ behaviour was, so I took the nightie and left. Throughout the encounter I was polite and friendly. The women, particularly the first one, were haughty and smug. On reflection, I feel it is unfair that they wouldn’t accept my return ( the nightie is in perfect condition and has no odour at all). Furthermore, I feel it is weird and unhygienic for two people to ‘sniff’ an item of clothing and expect me to accept it back. I would happily address this to the actual owner/manager via email in preference to a public forum, however I have been unable to find an email contact on their website.Based on the rude, bizarre and frankly bullying behaviour of these two women, I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone.

First time I had been into the chemist. I was welcomed by all staff members. I was supported in picking up a specific prescription that is hard to get in Newcastle and supported through my journey that I am about to begin. Definitely recommend as you are treated as a person and not a number or $ figure in this store. Definitely will be going back.

Front counter person made an inappropriate joke about the medicine I was buying after picking it up and inspecting what it was, and just had a generally condescending tone. My girlfriend and I both were surprised by how rude the whole experience was. Will never go here again, can't believe they are still open.

I had to come into this Chemist for particular IVF script fills that I couldn't get anywhere else, aside from Sydney. Being terrified of needles, it's already a traumatising experience and having to do 3x needles a day is torture already. One of the needles provided to me by a worker was massive as you can see in the photo I attached. When I said something about it not being right to the worker and too big, he said that's all we have left". Well

Terrible customer serviceComing down with the flu and not feeling great at all I walked into the chemists And was totally ignored but the two “customer service” representatives at the front desk.then proceeded to the Pharmacists at the back once again no hello, hardly made eye contact and didn’t even offer a how can we help you” ? …just a resided eyebrow!Shocking to think these people are meant to be helping people who are not feeling great.Won’t be back even though it’s the closest to home.

Great Team, super friendly.Got me in to get 4th Covid shot immediately despite having no booking. Even kind enough to assist with getting an updated Vaccine Certificate as I previously had issues with obtaining it.Can not recommend enough!

My daughter went into today to get cream for my grandson . The lady that serve her was rude considering. My daughter left in tears . Not a great way to treat people. Please teach your staff some customer service. And how to be a decent human when dealing with others
