Lomond Windows & Doors uPVC Double Glazing

Lomond are great to deal with, a professional and pleasant team of people. All windows and doors in our home were replaced and security screens will be installed.Some issues arose, mainly due to building quirks, but these were promptly resolved. I was grateful for the installers' attention to cleaning up as they worked. We are very happy with the level of workmanship and customer service.This quality product is a dream to use, and our home is much lighter and brighter thanks to the glass front and back doors. It's also noticeably quieter.These new windows and doors have already made a big difference to our comfort levels (and the appearance) of our older house !

If we could give Lomond six stars, we would.We had all of the windows and external doors in our home replaced in August of this year, and we could not be happier with the decision to go with Lomond. Hands-down they would have to be the best suppliers in Tasmania of uPVC windows and doors.Every step of the process with Lomond was a a pleasure, and their (Nicole's) patience with us whilst we decided between various colours, finishes, types of glazing, fittings, etc. was truly impressive. Their communication was always prompt and knowledgable, and came with a real 'can do' attitude -- if in the rare instance Nicole wasn't sure of something she would go the extra mile to find out or make it work. We chose Lomond because when other suppliers told us what we wanted 'probably wasn't possible' Lomond made it possible.Lomond's product range is backed up by extensive freely available and readily accessible technical data that helped us compare suppliers and make an informed decision that their products were the best choice for us.As a result, our home has never been warmer (there are no cold rooms -- not even the bathroom!) or quieter (despite living in close proximity to a major highway with large trucks we can't hear them anymore).Their frames and fittings are very sturdy and impeccably finished.The installation was done to an exceptionally high standard, with Matt and his colleague again going above and beyond to produce a beautiful and thoughtful outcome for each window and door.I would not hesitate to have Lomond help us install double-gazed uPVC windows again, and have recommended them to friends and family alike.

From the initial contact with the office (multiple quote revisions, questions & popping into the showroom) through to the installation team and their “can-do” attitude made replacing my windows a painless project.The windows have created a quieter, cosier ambience inside my home & a stylish updated look to the exterior.My only regret is not doing it sooner!!

Definitely worth the wait. Loving our windows and doors. The fitting crew did an amazing job in inclement weather and didn’t complain about being away from home for so long as we live remotely. Great job.

Lomond Windows already came highly recommended so it really came as no surprise from the moment I walked in to the show room that the service was second to none. Nicole, Jamie & Chloe were super friendly, efficient and collectively fabulous communicators from start to finish. Nothing is too hard for the team at Lomond and the quality of the products is worth every penny. We have huge picture windows in a contemporary extension on a heritage home that compliment the renovation perfectly and are a huge talking point. There were a couple of minor tweaks we requested on things like door handles etc and every time we've had any questions or requests like this they are 100% happy to assist and have one of their team call in and help out when they're passing by on the highway. We are so happy and the customer service that comes with the quality of products made working with Lomond Windows an overall lovely experience.

My initial review below hasn't been changed but I do need to say that on speaking with Jamie, the owner, I was impressed and heartened at how he addressed the below issues, decided to redress them, and also his respectful attitude toward me. Thank you, Jamie, for taking accountability for your workers' mistakes. I have every confidence that amends will be made. (And they were.)'What a disappointment. We booked them 10 months before the job. We were told it would be done in May 'before winter', however it ended up being done in July, but we had to phone them up and chase them on it twice. Otherwise, there was no communication to tell us otherwise. We might have been waiting still.But although that was the least of it, it should have been a warning. However, the deposit was down and we do understand that due to weather conditions etc a company such as this might run overtime. Communication is always nice though.Ok. So, here we go: NO DROP SHEETS WERE USED. Hello, this is a glass company. In order to install, they smash many of your previous windows - no problem - however, my incorrect assumption was that professionals, who actually care about their customers, customers who are spending over $38,000 to have their entire home's windows and doors replaced,, might have their garden and their exterior home environment protected from glass and plastic chip debris. NOPE. I had to go out into the dark on two evenings, even though we'd asked for a clean up of glass chips and platic debris and been told, 'tomorrow' (it started raining and had to be cleaned) - and attempted to sweep up.Our very newly painted verandah was marked all over the place with white stuff. When they were told, (AFTER we reported it to reception), to come back and clean it up, they scrubbed back to the boards, leaving a 2.5 metre long, 5 centimetre wide mess. Countless other smaller of same kind on verandah. It now has to be completely repainted.No drop sheets were used to protect our paths, courtyard or garden areas. Broken glass everywhere and so much minute plastic junk all through our organic garden where we get many species of tiny birds... We walk barefoot on those areas in summer!In a rush to finish - (but we waited for our own job) - the final stage of the job was done in the dark at dusk and evening!If our own tradesman - (coming to seal, bog and paint the below-average job done to replace boards on our exterior bay windows done in the dark) - had not noticed a high window when he was up a ladder - one of the exterior window sealers on the wettest and southern side of the house was not even installed. We would never have known otherwise.If it were not for one of their workers realising that the windows were not correctly sized on the sashes, we would have had another issue down the line with poor sealing. He insisted on that being fixed, which it was, and so another day went by with fixing it...We did not expect to have to triple check things. Details matter and leaving our home disrespected is not good for anyone.On the plus side, the product looks good. No condensation is great. Nicole at the front desk handles things well. Jamie is genuinely someone you can trust as he seems to care very much about his business.

We contacted a few window manufacturers before we decided on Lomond. They are the only company who sent a sales expert to our house to discuss all our needs for the windows and doors, and suggested quite a few improvements to our original selection. The installation team were excellent making a couple of minor changes and updates during the installation, and more than happy to address post installation issues.Lomond also changed their manufacturing and delivery schedule to allow us to complete renovations to our bathroom on schedule by delivering one of our doors ahead of schedule. I cannot praise them enough, all the Lomond staff my wife and I spoke with are courteous, customer focussed, exceedingly helpful and very friendly, and the house now looks fabulous with the new uPVC double glazed windows and doors.
