We have been lucky enough to share our bump to baby story with the incredibly talented, caring and wonderful Poppy!From the first point of contact you get a taste of who Poppy is, she comes through email correspondence like an old friend.I was a little nervous leading up to my shoot for my bump photos but as soon as we met.. in an awesome back of nowhere location, Poppy with an abundance of luxe gowns and plenty of laughs I felt right at home.Our newborn shoot in our home was crazy with toddlers and dogs but Poppy became an honorary member of our family that day and the photos prove her hard work, talent and patience amid chaos as they are absolutely perfect.Highly recommend Poppy if you are after photos that are natural but with a bit of a difference, someone you feel instantly comfortable and at ease with!

Poppy took photos of our 9 day old newborn girl which was an early Mother’s Day present for my wife. She was amazing - so patient and caring for our newborn even when she decided to go to the toilet over Poppy and her blankets! The photos came out amazing - we will treasure them forever. Would recommend Poppy to anyone looking for a professional photographer!

I did a maternity and newborn shoot with Poppy. Both sessions were wonderful as experiences in themselves, to pause and celebrate our pregnancy and tiny baby. Poppy was lots of fun and made us feel at ease. She was also incredible with my son (she's definitely a baby whisperer!), and patient with feeds and his bowels..!Then the photos were stunning and varied, and will be treasured always. Poppy's prints and frames are great quality.Poppy was also wonderful around organizing everything, including finding a location for the maternity shoot to meet what I had in mind. She was prompt in delivering the photos online, and in responding to my requests for the final photo collection.Lastly, I liked that Poppy's prices were available online. She seemed competitively priced against others in Sydney.In short, I definitely recommend Poppy!! Huge thanks to her.

Couldn't have been happier with our maternity shoot and newborn shoot a few weeks later. Poppy is a perfect professional and knows how to make you feel relaxed and welcome. I was super nervous about being photographed and ended up absolutely loving the experience. During the newborn shoot she even taught us a few swaddling and settling tricks as new parents! We will definitely be returning to capture future family memories.

Somewhat unexpectedly, the most relaxing thing about having a 6-day-old baby, was by far the morning we spent with Poppy, having a great catchup, hanging out and swapping stories about the madness of parenting, while she worked her photographic magic with us and our little guy.The results are absolutely amazing, but I think the way she worked with us and our baby was even more mesmerising. Far from the usual 'studio photography' clichés of awkward posing, stressful outfit choices, and generally being treated as mute mannequins in the process, we felt involved and included at every stage. Poppy guided us and our son through the process so lightly and easily, like every step was so natural that it barely registered that we were on the receiving end of a professional lens.Poppy is warm, calm, friendly, honest, experienced, and over all, really knows how to take photos that feel truly organic without being 'fluffy'. Value for money, both in her time, and her work, is off the scale. We'll cherish these images forever and can't wait to visit her again in future.

So glad I chose Poppy for my maternity and newborn photo shoots. She brings her whole self to the sessions and through her down to earth and beautiful character she made us feel completely as ease and that resulted in amazing and natural photos which we will treasure for all our lives. She also has magic fingers with babies. At no point did she put my little girl into tight / uncomfortable position or swaddles, but patiently waited and comforted my baby as needed. Warning - be prepared to fall in love with Poppy and her work. It will be impossible to choose just 10 photos and you will be booking in more sessions as your child grows! Xx

I looked at many portfolios and pages before I decided to choose Poppy as our newborn photographer, her pictures stood out as being timeless and perfectly natural. She came to us when my daughter was one week old, putting us at ease with her calming and fun energy. I felt safe with my newborn in her hands, she was gentle and soft in her handling my newborn. I enjoyed watching her being so engrossed in taking pictures, it is obvious that she is passionate about what she does and how much she loves it. Her knowledge and experience are incredible, she gave great advice on poses and best places in the house to take pictures considering lighting. She was really patient with my active and fussy toddler and handled her so well. I am speechless with the sneak-peak she sent me on the same day the photos were taken.
