Fish and chips are normally good but they are quite expensive. Been going there once a week for years and use to get a free potato cake from time to time but they don’t do that anymore which is disappointing considering I got there regularly. Staff (with the exception of the young guy) are not overly friendly. Considering moving to the other fish and chip shop which is cheaper, has friendly staff and always chucks in a potato cake or dim sim when you spend a bit.

Hardly any chips and flake looked like an overgrown fish-finger, but stingy servings aside, they were very good quality, but the 'calamari' rings - don't go there. Potato cakes however were excellent.

Spent $62 there one Friday night. Paid for 6 potato cakes and got 3. Really frustrating when you get home and your order isn’t complete. $8 worth of chips also doesn’t get you much. Customer service also very average

Absolute perfection!!!Cooked with care and effort with great quality fresh oil, the staff and owners at Doonies do it right, the batter is a nice coating, the Blue Grenadier's are a great size and carefully cooked, the calamari is the best and actual squid, along with nicely done large juicy scallops. Great customer service and selection of drinks too! Overall an excellent experience and would definitely recommend for everyone. I may even go for a third time tomorrow :)

Great F&C, can be busy on public holidays so ensure you book in advance on those days. Also minimum of chips is on the smaller size suggest $10 of chips for a family or 4+ if you're not getting other things.

Best chips ever. So delicious, could eat these chips all day everyday. No other fish and chip shop I’ve ever been to can compare. Scrumptious!
