I first came across Homewired via Ebay, where I made my first purchase. It was delivered promptly and in good order. I then made a follow-up purchase direct from the website. I stuffed up my order the night before but was able to modify it, adding to it the following morning. Communication was key, I was told to create another order and that would be packaged with my existing order. He said he would refund the second postage fee. The goods were delivered in one package and sure enough I was refunded the second postage fee. All up, I can't complain, everything went smoothly.

I have made two purchases so far. The 1st via eBay and the 2nd directly via the Homewired www site. Both transactions went smoothly, the items were shipped quickly and were well packed. More importantly, there were no mistakes. Their prices are very competitive and for the most part you cannot buy much cheaper from China (eBay or AliExpress). My only gripe is that the site needs more information on their wall plates, mounting brackets. That is, they don't specify whether they are a US type plate or an AU type plate. I know it is only 1mm difference in the distance between mounting holes but try fitting a US plate (83mm hole centers) onto a pre-installed AU electrical bracket (84mm hole centres). So if you are buying the US type wall plates you will likely need to buy some of those US low voltage plastic mounting rings (brackets) that they also sell. The other area needing some explanation (at least for some) is Keystone" Jacks & wall plates. At least here I had some knowledge but most Australians won't....so a bit of advice

Although it was a relatively low-cost item I purchased, it was nonetheless exactly as ordered, delivered really quickly and packaged impeccably. Really impressed and would definitely purchase from Homewired again !

Bit wary ordering from these guys as they were so cheap - but cheap enough that I though taking a chance was worthwhile. I needn't have worried. Pretty prompt delivery (despite the COVID), and the parts and tools are all up to the task. There are some minor irritations you should be aware of - the modular 2/4/6 port plates are screwed into the holders (unlike eg clipsal which are clipped in). These screws are slightly too long, so they make the plate stand proud of the wall unless you make an indent for the screws, or trim them. The wall plate screws are slightly shorter than usual, and aren't pointed, so they're a little more tricky to locate in the mounting clip. Small things, and offset by the excellent price - I'll definitely buy from homewired again.
