Mystery Bay Council Campground/Day Park
Plenty of room, great size camping area. If you don't mind neighbours you can be almost on the beach. If you prefer a bit of privacy head up further into the camp and get a wonderful view over the cliffs. Fires allowed and town water available. Toilets and outdoor cold showers.

Great campground if you want somewhere a bit more rustic than a holiday park and close to a beach. Also allow pets and fires which is hard to find. Direct access to the beach also.

A fantastic spot. We has the absolute beat spot just up from the beach. Beautiful cleae water and we jagged the weather. Just beautifulClean pit toilets and cold, cold showers. $12 per person and cheaper for pensioners. Potable water on site.Get there around 10-11 am for pick of the best sites.To can thank me later!

Basic site amid tall tree forest in awesome location. Water and drop toilets. Booked out over Christmas/NY period but they may have space for overnight stays. A few dodgy characters about. One nicked my solar charger when I went to get water - claimed he thought it had been left behind and he was ‘going to hand it in to the caretaker’.

Amazing spot. Price very reasonable, and online booking straight forward. Despite school holidays, had the place almost to ourselves (rain forecast would have put off a lot of people). Nice little walks, and beach right at the doorstep. Drinking water on tap. Large number of fire pits on site, and farmer down the road selling cheap fire wood. Muddy due to the rain, but which place isn't these days? Still a top spot after all these years. We'll be back plenty of times.

The campground is sprawling and bushy. Roads a little rough with potholes but manageable if you take it easy. Lots a nooks and hideaway spots for camping so you don't have to feel surrounded by other campers. Not set sites just areas of bushland so you get some bumps and slopes. Pit toilets were pretty clean and decent for the type they are. The outdoor shower at the back end where i camped was enclosed. Gorgeous place with plenty of wildlife about and beaches within easy walking distance. Some good whale watching spots of you come at the right time of year.

Great location, nestled in trees, and some sites with views but... people are terrible with leaving their dogs for hours barking and letting them off lead everywhere. Also steer clear of the locals"... Some permanent shanty structures that obv haven't been moved on by council or police.Apart from that good access to taps and clean pit toilets."
