I've admired this store from afar, especially one of the owner's fun fashion. Unfortunately, had such an unnecessarily rude and aggressive encounter with the other owner outside their store. They really need to learn to treat people with kindness.

Worst experience of my life. While browsing through the mountains of junk in this shop an argument started between the Asian chap and the elderly man in the shop. Abuse was hurled towards the older man, who was pushed and shoved about by the other chap. Clearly the Asian man was drunk. I have never heard such language. I felt so bad for the older gentleman. Eventually spilling out onto the footpath, shocked passer byers and customers in the adjoining coffee shop watching it all unfold. Screams of Get out of my shop echoing across King Street.Apart from that experience, not anything special. Lots of chaos and dust, overpriced thrift shop items.I definitely won't be going back.

As soon as I walked in the door I saw the owner sitting there on his phone laughing at a Saturday Night Live video on YouTube. The video was really loud so I could hear it the entire time I walked through the shop. he didn’t look my way or even say hello. I feel like all the positive reviews on here saying “why is everyone saying bad things about the owner, he’s great” are all fake.He was totally useless, and honestly, the stuff isn’t vintage items. It’s literally all junk. Small teaspoons, random cups, plain glass bowls…nothing interesting. It’s just garbage that people have thrown out. Don’t waste your time.

Beautiful store, interesting and amazing a must see in Newton. Joshua is dressed elegantly and has amazing service.

This little shop is a treasure chest. It always arouses my interest with interesting things. The owner has a great love for vintage and likes to talk to a lot of different people. I think there is a misunderstanding to call them racists. They are far from that. Please visit this lovely shop to find your own interesting treasure.

Always plenty to see; lively customer service; bargains to be had; surprising array of items for sale. If you have the time to stroll down South King St, check this place out! Coffee right next door is also excellent ;)I read some nonsense in other reviews about racist iconography on display. This is ridiculous and ignorant. The reviewers claiming this do not know how to read objects culturally, historically and sociologically.

There has been some unusual trolling of this review page, from people that have never met the owner or visited the shop.The owner is lovely and very helpful, with a mish mash of culturally interesting and historical items. As we all know, history can be dark and disgusting but pretending it never existed is not the answer.If you are interested in framing he also will measure your poster/photo/print and find a frame which suits. I've had a few things done already and am really happy with the result.

If you could give negative stars, i would give this place, especially the owner a negative 5.I walked in the other day hoping to find something interesting when a lovely elephant lamp caught my eye. I asked the owner how much. He looked at me and said, It's too expensive for you

What a wonderful little shop.I have been there a few times recently, and have found some great items.Josh is a nice friendly happy man, helpful and very willing to bargain. Such a charming character well suited to the area, I think he's somewhat of a celebrity on King Street.A highly recommended place full of great items and character. A must see for vintage and collectable searchers.

Josh and Nigel have always been very lovely to my friend and my partner since moving to Sydney from overseas. They’re always incredibly friendly and always happy to do a good deal for us. There are a couple of very negative views and I can say I’ve never had a bad experience and they have always been nothing but kind to us and have some lovely pieces. Would highly recommend.
