Really wanted to find some good stuff here but 75% of the books are in piles behind pikes. I also felt scared that the piles would fall on me so I stayed away from some areas. Needs to be organised as I am sure their are brilliant books waiting for me there.

Swapping your book for one of theirs isn’t worth it. He offers next to nothing for your book & expects almost the full price to be paid for a swap. It’s completely unfair, especially after you’ve spent hundreds of dollars throughout the past few years in his shop!

Pete's been around for decades; I remember him from the halcyon days of 'The Australian Book Collector' and am only sorry I've not had the pleasure of visiting his shop. A memorable fella indeed, is Pete! The fact that he's still running a genuine book SHOP in 2022 says more for him than any other comment I can make. Keep on keeping on, Pete.

I found Pete's bookstore quite literally by accident when passing through Ulverstone. The other half was off for a meeting and I had a couple of hours up my sleeve. I went in and asked Pete for one of the most random of genre's and within seconds, he returned with a selection of books meeting that exact category. One of which, was a rare copy with which he offered for sale as I had specifically asked for the genre. A gem of a bookstore and a brilliant store owner who knows his stock inside out.
