I would highly recommend anyone to come get lunch while at the market, great authentic Spanish food. i recommended the bocadillo's, they are toasted with high quality and rich olive oil with great Spanish meat and cheese, they are amazing and the service is unbeatable. If you are in the area you MUST try the food.

Unbelievable. As a (part) Spanish person living in Sydney I would kill for a place like this near me. The bocadillos are a staple in a Spain and taste exactly like the ones over there. They also have a fantastic range of deli products and other Spanish goods. Unlike most of the Spanish places in Sydney, this is actually run by Spanish people (who are lovely).The knowledge this place exists in Australia (but outside my city) is both delightful and heartbreaking.

If in the past you travelled/lived in Spain, you will be able to find the same flavours and tastes at La Central, at South Melbourne Market.Alberto will guide you through different cheeses and Jamones choices, pairing them with great Spanish Tintos.Can’t wait to come when Covid-normal will allow the outdoor area for some good tapas!The Jamon Serrano and Manchego Embotido was top!

One of the many gems at south Melbourne markets! This place is such a cool spot to stop for a beer and an amazing sandwich or one of their meat/cheese plates. Super inviting atmosphere, attentive staff and the best range of Spanish meat/cheese in the city

I came to try their sandwiches around 3.15 pm, waiting in line; they were such a messy line. Until a lady came to ask me what I wanted and did not take my orders without explaining why, she kept apologising, but I didn't understand why, as they mentioned trading hours until 04.00.At least if they don't want someone to sit ( which I understand if it's near closing time), they can make pick-up or takeaway orders ( as mentioned in the banner), or they can remove the sandwich banner outside or say that they stop taking orders.

We bought white anchovies and manchego but they have so much more to offer. I've updated photos for dining in. Lunch was really tasty and goes well paired with delicious Spanish glass wines.

one of our favourite places when visiting South Melbourne markets. This deli serves some of the best Spanish products/ cheese outside of SpainThe owner is lovely who took the time to explain the produce and what it is about- delicious Iberico ham and cheese and also the baguettes!
