Hay Point Terminal Lookout
Massive port and operation! Tourist friendly, the lookout gives you a clear view of the whole operation, with a huge set of binoculars to view the over 40 ships waiting out at sea. You can have your opinions about coal but we found it a really interesting location. Worth the small drive to get to it. The sign directing you to the lookout is small so keep an eye out. There's also clean toilets there.

Stunning views. You can see the ships lined up on the horizon and the vast workings below.Lookout area has a telescope allowing for closeup viewing.There are also clean toilets onsite. Bring your own water if you plan to linger longer as the vending machine has been out of order for months

What a view! Huge coal shifting machines and conveyers, ships and tugs, mind blowing investment in infrastructure. Well worth a look if you have any interest in mining, coal, or machines.

Great place to sit and watch the working terminal below. We got to see the helicopter take off & land as he ferried the pilots out to the ships. Well worth the visit.
