Jake did an amazing job of our wedding photos we love them, and he was also fantastic with our children. He made photos fun, even for the most reluctant participant (me!) - thanks Jake.

We chose Jake Thomas Photography to capture our wedding in October 2021. We have never really had a proper photo shoot before but Jake was able to put us at ease and help make the day enjoyable. We did a small E-Shoot to know what to expect on the day and had a lot of fun!The photos that came back were stunning and we are really happy with them. We are so thankful to have had such a positive experience and would 100% recommend Jake Thomas Photography!

Jake did a family photo session with us at Redhead Beach, Newcastle. This was a larger group including children and Jake happily captured every combination we could think of as well as incredible group and individual shots. He was great to communicate with and had me at ease throughout the whole process.We absolutely love the photos and there are so many to choose from. Jake was one of the main reasons I got back into wedding photography! He photographed my wedding nearly 8 years ago and through that process, it totally reignited my own passion for wedding photography. I'm grateful that I met Jake, and that we have become such close friends. I can't speak highly enough of his work ethic and the effort that he puts into his art. Jake and Meg are amazing behind a camera, but not only that they are also great people. Our wedding had some major changes as it got really close but Jake and Meg took it in their stride and worked with us the whole way. We absolutely loved hanging out with them and they felt like friends by the end of our wedding.Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Do yourself a favour and have your special day or event photographed by Jake! He exceeded our expectations in every way on our wedding day. He listened to everything we wanted and followed through with it all. We told him we disliked staged photos and preferred a more candid shot, and along with that we want to laugh! I told him to make any joke he wanted/needed to and boy did he deliver. Jake was making everyone crack up and he matched our vibe perfectly. I also told him about my insecurities and stated I didn’t want to look a certain way in photos. Whilst he reassured me it was okay, he also directed me in the sweetest way to change angles/ lift face up more etc whatever was needed for the shot. There was not a single photo I was unhappy with! They were so stunning and I had multiple guests at my wedding say how great they thought Jake was. I also had a guest who recently had their wedding and wish they had, had Jake instead of their photographer as they believe he was incredibly invested in the day, coming in from different angles and ensuring he had the perfect shot. His wife Meg also came along to the day and she was also fantastic. At one stage in the day I was getting bit by something and with permission, Meg went straight up my dress and got multiple giant ants out from biting my legs haha! I can’t even describe how great they are. Even for our engagement shoot, Jake knew we were bringing our young children and so he brought his daughter along who kept our little ones occupied whilst we got some shots together. It was so thoughtful and so helpful! They are such kind genuine people with an amazing talent and they honestly made our day better. We felt so comfortable and at ease with himself and Meg and he genuinely created magical memories for us. You will absolutely not be disappointed in choosing Jake, in fact you WILL be disappointed if you don’t choose him!

We couldn't be happier with Jake and his professionalism and warm, friendly manner. He thinks outside the box as far as different places and poses which create amazing photos. He makes you feel relaxed and makes the shoot easy. He is a very talented photographer and we could not more highly recommend him! So happy with our photos. We are so glad that Jake was available for our wedding. After our first meeting with him, we knew he was the one for us. Not only is Jake extremely talented, but he is also the most genuine and kind hearted person who truly cares about your vision and needs. We weren’t planning to do an engagement shoot, but this is something Jake offers as part of his packages. It was such a great idea because we became a lot more comfortable in front of the camera, and we’re able to learn a bit about his style and art. We literally felt like professional models! On the wedding day itself, Jake and his wife Meg were both so wonderful at ensuring everything happened on time and capturing all of the best moments. Our wedding was honestly the best day ever and we are grateful to have photos of these memories, which we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to use Jake Thomas photography in the future as Jake is extremely reliable, professional, talented and kind. We feel so lucky for our time together and are genuinely sad that it’s over!
