Absolutely fantastic place to go for a meal, drink and watch sports. The pool comp that was held today was fantastic to watch also. Kid friendly, with a play ground for them to play on and also dog friendly to.

Excellent stop for lunch. Had the chicken burgers which were perfect. The included chips were Crips and soft inside. The brought it out to the table after you ordered. Staff at the counter was cheerful and helpful

Great all round experience, huge outdoor television, pool tables, restaurant and a out door play area couples with a huge covered beer garden makes it ideal for families and group events.Revisit: staff were very friendly and accommodating, the Cesar salad I had for lunch whilst waiting for the pool competition to start on Sunday afternoon was very affordable and to a high standard, the atmosphere at the pool competition was very friendly and laidback.Can definitely say I will be back for many more Sunday afternoon kickbacks at this place.

Talk about a hidden little gem, the atmosphere of an old fashioned family style pub with an off the chain menu.The brisket burger is sensational and rib and beef combo is enough to feed two, the rest of the menu is brilliant. With all the pub classics with a twist.Great outdoor beer garden with one of the largest big screen TV'S you will ever see.

We stopped for lunch at the Central Hotel Stroud on the weekend. It was the first time we had been to the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and clean, with a lovely outdoor area with a large screen TV, and the children's playground was right next door to it, so parents could watch their children. The food was delicious, lovely and fresh and well cooked. It was served in a short time. Nice place to relax and we recommend anyone passing through Stroud to pop in there. We would definitely go back when we are in the area again.

Its a great hotel for the price being paid. The bed sheets were fresh, ammenities are shared no heater or tv in the room. Pub food, beer and convenient store available downstairs.

As a pub, it's quite the venue out in the country, nothing like it around for the next 45 mins.Decent pub food and taps, nice people, huge beer garden area with big screenAs a place to stay - you need to pick your moments. There is no a/c in the rooms, so summer is excruciating.If you stay Saturday night, expect to be kept up by the band until at least midnightThe shared bathroom was clean, but you're on display to the beer garden when you go to and from it. The building is very old, the rooms are very small but if you go when it's cooler and midweek and have to stop overnight - do it.
