Good place for a Museum and is also the Rochester Railway station.

Rochester Sports Museum
This is a great museum. I got a guided tour through the 2 rooms. The smaller room had a display on Hubert Opperman. The 2nd room had multiple display cabinets with sports memorabilia collected by John Forbes who worked for Puma for many years. $5 entry. You can spend 45 minutes there looking around. Great value for money!

Rochester Sports Museum
Passing thru on a little stroll after a lovely lunch at the corner pub, we came across this Museum and decided to take a look and were so impressed - the 15 minute video on John Forbes was insightful to appreciate his backstory and the origins of memorabilia of popular sports stars - in its early stages of inception, there's much more awaiting display - they'll surely need more rooms, Our guides were proud & passionate gentlemen. What an asset for Rochester - I'm sure the Museum will gather momentum once word gets out.
