Stench pervading the entire dwellingExcellent secluded location, quiet. However, the place reeks a strong and pervasive stench of room freshener, difficult to endure. It sticks to every surface in every single room, such that you are unable to get rid of it by opening the windows. It is teeming with rodents under the roof, which you will hear all night if sleeping in the master bedroom upstairs. Because of this, I would not book again and found our stay difficult to endure.If you shine a light behind the furniture and in particular below the staircase, there is trash and probably some poisoned mouse cadavers which has not been cleaned for years. Appliances and cutlery are severely dated and in need of replacement. Arrive during daylight hours, otherwise you will completely miss the driveway at night. Dwelling has not been deep cleaned, regularly heated or ventilated for quite some time, likely years..This is the state of this rental as of November 2022. Hope the administrator is able to react and rectify. In its current state, the dwelling is unfit for human habitation given usual Australian standards, and should certainly not be allowed to house tourists. Not worth it at this time at any price. It crippled our three night stay on Kangaroo Island, and the ferry company is doing a mistake by allowing this operator to book on its site.

Great secluded location. Cosy. Clean. Keep an eye out for the local koalas and kangaroos. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Kangaroo Island with your family or friends. Loved the remoteness, environment and wildlife. Spiders, hedgehog, cows and birds. Highly recommended. Our trip would not be that great if we were not staying here.

Very good accommodation with beautiful surroundings and also with reasonable price.

Fantastic location, tired accommodation. Field mice are a major problem and having bait stations inside the premises is unexaptable (bedroom, lounge room and kitchen). The fan in the bathroom was broken, the light above the stove was dirty. A carton of milk was forgotten on the from veranda table. The bbq and the bench at the back of the house could not be used due to mice poo on them. Location was booked for 3 nights but left after one, not to return.
