Would recommend everyone passing through Paluma to stop here. I expected some kitchy tourist-trap style pottery and was very happily surprised. Len’s style is Japanese influenced and very varied. He has everything from vases, to teapots, to ornamental pieces. He doesn’t sell his pieces anywhere except here at his shop so this is a unique opportunity for those who don’t live nearby!

Absolutely loved visiting. Was well worth taking a look and seeing all the handmade items made on premises. You can see one of the furnaces when walking up the driveway. It’s pretty cool meeting the artist who you buy directly from.Just be sure to knock on the door at the end of the driveway. If the ‘open’ signs are up, just be patient as he’s in there working away on a new piece.

a trip to Paluma is not complete without a visit to Len Cook's Paluma Pottery Studio and Workshop. Lens' pots are a true local ceramic art piece with clay and timber creating the each unique pot story. Len identifies the species of tree and the cyclone it fell in which creates each pots unique finish.
