It was very beautiful railway station ..

A beautiful, quaint train station

Station itself is mint, clean, nice, toilets were A+ however the “customer service” staff that haunt the old building are less than stellar. Unless I accidentally stumbled into the Salem trials I think they’re in the wrong job.

A Heritage listed station on the main southern line from Sydney to Melbourne that is also connected to Canberra by coach for those travelling from there to Melbourne.Lots of history going back 150 years when the fine produce from the area was transported by train. Also a branch line to the Young area.Poliitics precluded an actual railway going into Yass town so this serviced as the main station and it had a light rail operation into Yass, around four k's away.Much of the highly productive regions of the State were serviced by very efficient goods rail services until someone with bags of money convinced Governments that road transport was the way to go.
