Dissapointed! Booked in advance 6 weeks to ensure before Xmas and also work around newborn. Timings mucked up by salon and had to get partner to come home from work early to releive babysitter. Booked in Olaplex treatment but wasn't booked in so couldn't do it! Hair needs to be fixed by another salon as it is brassy, yellow and white! Paid $215 for this! Took 4 hours. Outdated salon, uncomfortable, old lounge where you lay to get hair washed. Not a great vibe within salon. Do not recommend!

Very easy to make a booking and very nice women who are always interested in what you are hoping to achieve. I would never go anywhere else.

Went in today to get a balayage done, Emma was amazing! Very professional, has an eye for detail and gave me exactly what I was after + more.I’m absolutely wrapped with my hair thank you so much Emma.I’ll be back, see you next time!!:)

I arrived to the salon one minute before my scheduled appointment time. As soon as I walked in, the lady at the reception desk asked if I was *my name* before I could say anything. She then said she had just tried to call me and left a voice message. I thought wow they must be really prompt to call even before your appointment time!She rushed me over to a chair. She didn't introduce herself or make any conversation the whole time. I now realise this may have been because she thought I was late and probably rude for not apologising for being late!What was meant to be a pampering 45 min appointment was only about 25-30 mins for a shampoo, haircut and blow-dry. I had to go home and straighten my hair as it looked unfinished from the blow dry. Someone else had walked into the salon without an appointment and my hairdresser said to her that she wouldn't be a minute - she had only just started cutting my hair..At the end of the appointment I finally blurted out my appointment was at 5:45 right?" to which she said "no 5:30" I said that I had booked 5:45 online and she said "oh you should've received an sms confirmation" insinuating that she didn't believe me. I got my phone out and showed her the sms confirmation for 5:45 and she said "oh

Very friendly professional staff. Really happy with my cut and thankful I was able to get in before Xmas! Online booking really useful.

Women walk out the door and are immediately spoken about by the staff as if they were an inconvenience.I realise hair salons are widely known for being gossip hubs but perhaps you could wait until the end of the working day before you start belittling and insulting the clients that are paying good money for your services. Grow up girls, super disappointing.

Not happy. I asked for the lady to thin and even my hair and trim a little bit off of my fringe as it was getting abit long. My fringe looks worse then before too short! I told her that she made it too short and she bluntly replied no if you want it faded this is how it will be. I replied no I wanted it to be trimmed! (To late now) not happy. The way she treated me was terrible, pulling my hair as if I’m a horse! I wanted to get up and walk out as soon as she started.

Insygnia is the best hairdressing salon in Kingston by far.The staff are very polite and efficient and participating in the training of new apprentices is a rewarding experience.

Management provided terrible service. Treated me like an inconvenience when my colour washed out after short period as I wanted it to be redone (never asked for it to be done for free by the way). Then had my appointment booked on the wrong day (didn’t receive a confirmation message or a message to see why I never made the appointment), missed it and then when I went to go the day I actually asked to be booked for, was spoken to rudely and threatened to have the appointment taken away ‘as they were already doing me a favour by fixing it’...Sad because the hair dressers are actually good at their jobs but can’t support the owner/manager for the treatment of customers.
