Howling Success Dog Training

We were recommended to Jess for our staff/boxer Molly. We adopted her at the start of COVID and needed help to work with her reactivity (aggression to other dogs). Jess was excellent to “train the humans” so we could take the steps we needed to take, one at a time. Two years on, Molly is a very much loved part of the family. Like all things, you have to put in the time and be patient. Highly recommended!

Working with Jess has been an absolute pleasure! We bought home two puppies and had no idea how to train them into well behaved dogs. Jess has been instrumental in their development – I believe we would still be cleaning up after them 12 months down the track if not for Jess!! Well after puppy school we have continued to work with Jess on socialisation skills, lead walking (I thought all dogs just “knew” how to walk on a lead!) and calming techniques. Jess explains everything in great detail, leaves us with great notes and is always an email away! Plus our dogs love Jess – all the calming techniques come into practice when Jess (and her treats!) arrive!!

Today was our second session with the wonderful Nathan and I was left totally blown away not only by the incredible way he can read a dog's body language, but by the confidence he instilled in my pup Luna too. For the first time ever, she was able to interact safely and happily with a dog AND experienced her first time off lead with one. Nathan's gorgeous pup Albie is a wonderful playmate for our anxious girl and I can't wait to see how her confidence continues to grow over the coming sessions. Jess & Lily are calm, knowledgeable, patient and reassuring. We got through a lot in the 4 weeks of Manners Class & I feel like I have a lot of tools to use now. 10/10!!

My partner and I are the lucky parents of a little Russian toy called Possum who suffers badly from anxiety towards strangers , other dogs, me! And just generally life itself. We paid for a a private consultation without having much expectations based on how we have possum but within the first 30 minutes Jess had connected with her more so than we could ever had imagined ! The time was well spent and jam packed with alot of teachings to help us understand why Possum feels the way she does but also ways we can make things better for her and training methods to apply. This was followed up with an extremely detailed report on everything we discussed and loads of informative pieces. It’s early days but we feel confident we can make the best life for our little one from the help Jess. Couldn’t recommend her and howling success enough

Amidst lockdown this year, i met with Jess and Abbey via zoom to discuss a plan for my anxious and reactive rescue husky cross. Jess was awesome developing an action plan for us, which included starting walk and trains. Her advice was really helpful, but also easy for us to do at home! The continued communication following our initial session as well as our training plan have helped me to create a happier walking environment for my dog :)

We are so so happy with the strategies we got from Jess for our dog! She is a very strong adult dog who was very reactive to other dogs on walks. This made walking really stressful. After working with Jess and consistently implementing the strategies she gave, our dog is happy and calm around other dogs and we now have a lovely time on walks. Our dog even has nice plays with the dogs she meets. Jess is very knowledgable, understanding and flexible and we've now sought her advice several times since!

We are so very proud of the progress Poptart has made through the Walk and Train Program with Nathan. We contacted Nathan to get help with our 3 year old rescue staffy who was having issues with impulse control and reactivity on lead. Nathan is very patient and understanding and has provided us with valuable tools and guidance. Through their mutual bond and Nathan’s force free training methods Poptart is now able to remain calm and enjoy his walks while remaining his happy goofy self!

Jess is an EXPERT at understanding and training dogs, as well as their owners (!!). She truly wants the best for her clients, and goes above and beyond to provide support and encouragement for them. Her advice is worth its weight in gold, and so are her jokes and puns! Would highly recommend Jess to any dog owner who wants to teach their pup to be well behaved in a positive, enriching way.

Jess is great. The classes are very informative. The homework is super helpful. When our pup was too overwhelmed to attend the classes with other dogs, Jess offered an amazing private session when she didn't have too. Definitely recommend for any pup.
