Daintree Ferry
Only one way for going to Daintree and one boat... 45 dolls and they are not able to do a good maintenance of this boat (security control find excessive corrosion on the vessel’s hull ) ... The way was closed now since 6 days ! Where this money is going ? So ridiculous no other solution in 2023 in a civilized country ?!

The ferry has a quick turnaround, we were lucky not waiting more than a few minutes, crossing takes only a few minutes. All staff working there were very nice! Smooth experience.

Only option available to get across the Daintree River. Short wait time and quick crossing at both 11am and 4pm. Smooth and safe. Organised loading and unloading on both sides. Friendly and helpful staff. Cost of $45 for a return trip seems excessive.

This Ferry service was extremely easy to use and the trip across was smooth and fast. The price charged was reasonable for what you received. Service by all staff members was really good and helpful. Thank you all.

Do the ferry. Safe, easy drive on and off, even for vans and camperhomes. If you're concerned, try using the ferry at a higher tide. Not cheap, so suggest you plan your day on the other side. There is plenty to do so maybe check Google Maps for places of interest. Usually the ferry trip itself is over in less than 10 minutes, but you may have to queue, so allow 30 minutes extra. There are toilets on both sides. Once you're on the Cape Tribulation side the road is good and sealed all the way to Cape Tribulation. But...there are some pretty narrow stretches and a few steep pinches. We have taken a van across, and a mobile home, but if you drive safely, no problem. It is a beautiful drive, you'll want to take your time. The Cape itself had a beautiful beach.

We had a very enjoyable trip across the river. The guy who sold us the ticket made a great point why we should buy a return ticket, the ladies who guided us onto the ferry was friendly and so were the person who did the “driving”. It is a quick crossing with lots of space for people towing.

Easy and quick to use. Great friendly staff. Only $45 return.. don't get out of the car but or will get yelled at.. even to get your wallet out of the boot.
