It has improved the service recently. I stopped going to this Cafe for a while as I was served with rotten salad once. But it looks like the place has imporved. Specially service is very nice.

My husband and I had lunch today and it was very disappointing. The food was less than average and we were charged $13.50 for the $10 special which was a burger and coffee (we ordered a plain black coffee) as per the photo. When I queried the cost I was told the coffee I ordered was not what was in the deal so I was charged $9.80 for the burger itself (usual price) and then the coffee separately. I could not work out how a plain black coffee is not part of this deal when the terms and conditions clearly say it is? Seems dodgy. We will not return.

I dined here today , my first time here . I ordered a meal & a coffee. It was 12 30 & the cafe was packed . The waiter delivered my meal & quickly ran away . I realised I had no knife & fork or a serviette. I went over to the counter & asked him for a knife & fork please . He told me “we have run out of them & they are in the wash “ I said okay bring me some when they are clean & please don’t forget me . It never happened , I ate my meal with my fingers . My coffee was great . If it gets that busy that The Coffee Club runs out of knives & forks, take some money out of the till & buy some at Woolworths , which is nearby . I hate to think how they cope in school holidays & weekends . Such is life , the joys of dining out !

Slow both in drinks and food. All came at different times meaning group did not drink/eat together. All food was cool to just on warm. Not to the standard of any other Coffee Club's. Will not be going back.

Ordered three meals including a kids meal and two pulled beef sandwiches. Sandwiches arrived with no meat on them. Took them back for beef to be added, they then returned with beef on only half of each sandwich. Food took that long to arrive we couldn't finish our meals due to timings.

Steak sandwich - steak pink - cold under cooked.Chips warm not hot and cooked properly, some still frozen.Service very very slow.Crunchy Chicken Burger tasted off.Our benchmark is Westfield Chermside and today was like chalk and cheese.The older bloke wasn't quite up to speed.Never again.

Staff did their best but were understaffed. We were asked to order online because staff were too busy to take our order. We also asked for tap water which they said they aren't allowed to give out anymore and we had to buy a drink instead. Also, our table didn't get cleared from previous customers. The coffee saucers we were served were dirty. Will not be returning with the family!

Had a disappointing breakfast 3 years ago and said we would not come back. After numerous wonderful experiences at other Coffee clubs decided to give the Brookside one another go. Breakfast was awful , poached eggs so overcooked i'm sure they would bounce off a wall. Food looked like it had been slapped on by a five year old. Asked for the Hollandaise on the side only to have it poured all over it obviosly trying to disquise the awful poached eggs. Will never go back! To many good coffee clubs around but not Brookside.

First time eating there, I couldn't fault them and they were busier than today.But today, waited 45min only to have to ask a staff member how much longer to be told over 20 Min, yet they had plenty of spare tables and not as busy.The owner who served me should've said at the time of ordering there was a long wait, but instead took my order and my money and said nothing.At least I was refunded, but communication goes a long g way.
