Wintersun Gardens Motel

Great motel, reasonably priced, friendly unobtrusive staff. Only stayed one night but it was a good experience.

It was a pleasant stay with friendly and welcoming staff at this motel. The motel exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness. As soon as I requested clean towels, they were placed in front of us within five minutes. In case you are looking for a motel around eastern Tasmania, this is a highly recommended place to stay.

I am very disappointed in the service and overall experience.I was supposed to stay 1 night here and 2 nights elsewhere in Strahan, but due to unexpected and severe weather conditions I had to cancel my trip. The amazing people I spoke to from the accomodation I booked in Strahan completely understood and waived the entire fee because of the circumstances. Although this accomodation after speaking with them told me if they found someone else to book the room they would not take the money out of my account but either way they would contact me. It got to 8:30 pm and I got a notification to say the money had been taken out of my account.. with no call, or email or anything.Greatly disappointed. Terrible to deal with and not understanding at all.

Clean and comfortable, but a little run down. The room (which was actually a cabin) was a bit over priced, but being a last minute booking it was kind of expected. The lady on reception was friendly and gave us the option to look at both cabins that were available. Close to the beach area and pub down the road for a meal, and close to the local IGA and newsagency.

Nice overnight stay. Room fully stocked and clean. No doona, only a blanket in cupboard. Mattress needs a topper, or upgrade. Room very light even with curtains closed.

Our stay here was wonderful.Staff members are friendly and helpful.I highly recommend it.

My Wife and I including our dear friends (2 Couples) stayed at this location on 12th & 13th February, 2023. It was close to the beach & all our other needs. The rooms were clean & tidy & was value for the price that we paid. It had a kettle toaster and mini fridge. Lizzy the manageress was very kind , ensuring that we were happy. She gave us brochures and directions to view the Penguins which was only a short walk down the street. She even brought in a microwave to our room as we all needed it to heat our food. Will recommend to others.

Our stay here provided an excellent base to explore the Freycinet Peninsula and the lovely coastal town of Bicheno. We enjoyed our stay and loved the atmosphere and great value of this motel.

Cute little building and rooms would have been at least 4 stars if they didn't have timers on the heater in the room and timer on the fan and headlamps in the bath room and the deals online are $30 cheaper the if you call directly and book. Should always be cheaper to cut the middle man out. It really tainted the place.

Pleasantly surprising for a motel, we've been to some bad ones! Lovely gardens in front. Somewhat small parking areas for larger vehicles. Small outdoor pool which we didn't try. Unobtrusive staff. Wifi and facilities generally good. Quiet and relaxing experience overall.
