Booked a table for 16 for a birthday. Worst service ever. Drip fed food, meat dishes with no rice. Children left with nothing to eat for 90 min. On the upside the food we got was delicious, and the long arm dancing quite charming.

Very average and not tastey. The lack of transparency of the pricing for the dishes and getting slugged $32 for 4 strips of pork was outrageous. Also I'm highly allergic to prawns and was told that one of the dumplings was pork only to find that it was a pork and prawn dumpling. Thankfully it wasn't me that ate the first dumpling. The place was quite dirty and there was rubbish on the stage from a recent event. I will never come back here.

Lovely yum cha restaurant in the vietnamese colony, very friendly auntie dim sums and staff. They are all trilingual / quadlingual with Cantonese, Mandarin and English, extremely helpful when you're looking for specific dishes and will help you order as well.Parking during the weekend is extremely competitive in the area, if you managed to park at the immediate parking area, you may ask the staff to give you free parking ticket to display on the dashboard. This is my favourite place for yum cha in Melbourne....

Went today after having been a customer of both Gold Leaf and Maxim Saigon for many years. Both are good but in my past experiences the yum cha food is better at Maxim Saigon. But it have been several years since frequenting either for Yum Cha.The bad reviews over the last few weeks for the venue nearly scared us off.The experience wasn't perfect as they were very busy but overall in the 1.5 hour session we were well fed and watered with a great selection of very delicious options. The staff were friendly and happy, although clearly under pressure as they were likely particularly busy given it was mothers day.A few reviews commented at being shocked by the pricing. In my experience Yum Cha in Australia is never cheap and the prices were very reasonable with dishes ranging mostly from 9 to 12 dollars each. One item was 15 and that was the most expensive item on the list so I have my doubts about the review which mentioned $32 for 4 pieces of pork. The bathroom was very clean by local standards.

Our family had an event here recently and the person in charge of the restaurant at the time was extremely unprofessional. None of their prices were consistent even though we took photos of the initial prices that we had already put a deposit on. Once everything was confirmed and finalised again (the prices of things such as: seating, table, drink charges, extra menu add-ons etc) she still tried to increase the prices on the night we paid. Even when corrected, she accused us of making a fuss for no reason!!We fixed up whatever we noticed wasn't correct and paid. We didn't realise until afterwards that she had snuck in an extra bottle of alcohol on the bill that was super expensive! We didn't bother going back to fix it up, we just wanted the headache to end.A couple days after our event, some of our guests told us that they didn't even receive some of the dishes listed on the set menu!!We also had guests with dietary requirements - specifically NO pork. One guest had asked the waiters if the dish was chicken or pork and was told it was chicken. LUCKILY enough someone else tried it first and it was in fact pork. This could have been avoidable if the waiters knew what was in the dishes! It was overall an mess! From the unprofessional staff to the misleading prices and missing dishes off the set menu. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.Save your money and go elsewhere!

we booked a spot to have dinner one night at 6.30pm, arrived and the worker asked if we booked or not, as if we hadn't book that we weren't allowed in.we seated, and waited to place the order, at about 7pm..waited for the entree soup, waiting, as it wasn't that busy, and dining area wasn't even full.till 8.10pm, we got the first dish to come out. food was nothing special, was just the average. having to request for each item, as the staff did not supply everything.cups for tea, request for the menu.very appalling service and slow, and not great waiting time either, would not recommend to go to this restaurant at all..not worth it at all.

Went there for mother's day and totally disappointed. Service was non-existent. We barely ordered any food, left with almost empty stomach after an hour. Waitress was very rude, ignoring us when we asked for service. First time and last time here. Will never ever come back to this place.

The Dim Sum/Yum Cha wasn't very good and.lacked flavour and even variety. Most were pork and Shrimp and the Eggplant dish we had wasn't even cooked (eggplant hard in most spots) . We have had dim sum in many Asian countries and Australia/US and we wouldn't return for the Dim Sum at this restaurant. The service was.good and the women serving the yum cha from the carts were pleasant and helpful. Just below average flavours for the 8 small dishes we had...the score of 2 is because the service by the staff was good. Sorry but don't recommend.

The food wasn't bad but the value was very poor. Over $60 for five small dishes, at least two of which were at the most basic price level. There are tastier choices which cost far less. The experience was disappointing.
