These pastries create happinessAs I’m writing this review I’m thinking about the amazing flavour of the sea salt and honey croissant. The pastry was soft and fluffy on the inside and crisp and well made on the outside.I don’t have many photos because we were so eager to eat them.

Delicious croissants nestled in the cutest little spot in Carlton North.The honey & salt is always the classic I reach for and it never disappoints.Note: there is no place to sit down here and enjoy your pastries. Only drip coffee available, but lots of other great cafes in the neighbourhood to grab a great coffee!

Very yummy croissant! We had the leatherwood honey & sea salt and it tasted so good that we had to buy a few back to Singapore although the ones we brought back obviously didn’t taste as good as eating them fresh. Crispy and perfect combination of sweet and salty. Worth the effort to travel down to this bakery!

it was worth the trip here, the croissants were buttery and light and flakey. the leatherwood honey and sea salt was such a delicious combination. the poached pear with goat cheese - goat cheese flavour was a lil too strong for me, but that’s personal preference. The lamb sausage pastry was so savoury and tasty.

I work in the Vienoisserie business and have done for quite some time, so for me to rate these guys so highly is a genuine review in respect of the world of pastry.These guys are the OG pastry chefs from a highly rated and well known company with origin in Melbourne also (It’s never been the same since they left).The delicate flavours in some and the intense flavours in others have been given much thought, trial and perfecting to be this damn good.Get there early, order one of everything to get a full idea of what’s happening here, you will not be disappointed. The best pastry I’ve ever had resides behind this storefront. Enjoy

More croissants…….we couldn't resist trying Monforte after visiting Lune, Moon, and Calle. Their pastries and croissants are incredibly flaky and offer a wide variety of classic and unique flavors.Monforte’s pastries stand out with their unique balance of dark roast, sweet glaze, and spiced toppings. We opted for the savory option, choosing the Cipollini onion, potato & @longpaddockcheese. With thin, extremely flaky layers, the pastry was a delight. The delicious potato was evenly spread throughout, giving us a delightful taste in every bite. The cheese wasn't overpowering, which was just fine. It provided the perfect savory touch for our taste buds.If you're in search of high-quality pastries, Monforte is the place to go. Although their selection may be small, it's because everything is made fresh to ensure exceptional quality. I'll definitely be returning soon to try their latest goodies, and I can't wait! Friendly boutique local patisserie. Croissant was very flaky on outside, but soft on the inside, not overwhelmingly sweet or buttery. Apple wax tart had flaky pastry with a sweet apple centre almost jelly like. Definitely a novelty worth trying.4/5
