Bensville Riding School

My 4yo daughter started riding lessons with Chantelle 6 months ago and has made amazing progress in that time.Chantelle has an amazing ability to deliver the lesson in a fun and engaging way that relates to the age of the rider and I am happy to make the 1.5 hours each way weekly drive for that very reason.My 9yo son had a fall a couple of years ago but agreed to join his little sister on a half day camp where he went from an incredibly nervous little boy to smiling from ear to ear at the end of the session. His favourite part of the day was the little trail ride through the back streets of Bensville and can't wait to attend the full day camp next holidays.

My daughter has been riding at this school every weekend for about 4 months now and i am really happy with the services provided by Bensville Riding School. The horses are well looked after, the staff are super friendly and my daughter has gone from a basic rider (trotting and she had only been cantering a few times) and she is now riding more confidently (cantering every lesson). Each week chantelle focus' on refining her riding techniques to make her an even better rider.

Terrible management. I have been waiting for a refund for over a month. Calls and emails being ignored. 130 dollars is a lot of money!

Dreadful - one to avoid!I purchased an overnight 2-day riding school camp for my niece and the experience was just awful. The facilities were so dirty, my sister spent 20 minutes sweeping away spiders, webs, dirt and scrubbing bathrooms before being even remotely comfortable with the girls sleeping there. The bedding was in a shocking state - much of it so filthy it should all be thrown out and replaced. The shower room also very dirty - under the toilet seat was mould that must have accumulated over months, it was a solid coating, not patchy. The people who run this school have very low standards when it comes to cleanliness. We expect rustic and simple, but being clean is not optional.The girls spent more time on farm chores than riding. The school should specify in advance what percentage of time will be spent on riding lessons vs farm chores, so prospective customers can make an informed decision if this is right for their child (or value for money).The school took bookings for trail rides at the same time as the 2 day camp but didn't have enough horses, so the girls' lessons were interrupted so they could give up their horses and wait around while the school used the horses for these other people.In my opinion this school should confine their services to hour by hour riding instruction of local riders. They are not well suited to structuring an experience for longer than a single lesson, and are certainly out of their depth when it comes to overnight experiences (especially for unsupervised children). The girls did come back with better riding skills than when they started, but we could have achieved the same result with 2 or 3 group riding lessons here in Sydney - minus the dirty accommodations and dis-organisation.

My daughter and I love Bensville Riding school.I learnt to ride as a kid with BRS and now get to have private lessons with my daughter.All the lesson ponies have such a beautiful temperament and are well cared for. Instructors are extremely knowledgeable.The facility is clean and very Covid safe.

Fantastic experience for my 10 yr old and 8 yr old grandchildren who had NEVER been on a horse before and were both excited and anxious about riding. Qualified and caring staff who guide and explain every step of the way. Horses are calm, tolerant and very obedient. Highly recommend this facility without any hesitation. Thank you so much.We WILL be back again.

I love my regular lessons with Charli. She has really increased my confidence while riding. The horse and all so beautiful and friendly too. Bensville riding school is perfect option for some one wanting to build skill and confidence.

Both my daughters have attended this riding school my eldest is now 17 and has stopped riding but loved her time there. My youngest is 7 and still goes every week and loves every aspect of the school, Chantelle is patient and professional with her.

I was excited for my daughter to have her first horse riding experience,Although i wish i had of read the reviews before going.Not very clean, heaps of flies everywhere, it does seem to be run by kids as previous posts suggest.Not to mention the smart arse comments from the owner to anybody that has had something to say. Not a real good way to build a business. I wont be returning and advising other people to not consider it.Thanks for your time
