Australia Post - Balaclava Post Shop

Absolutely shocking customer service, two very angry staff that shouldn’t be working in customer facing jobs steam rolled me when trying to collect my package. No help was given to try and resolve the situation and all I was meet with was a lot very angry NOs!!Why are you so angry? It’s your job to help and services people. RUDE!!!

One staff member today (older man with grey hair) 28/1/22 was rude and unhelpful- stating they couldn't possibly do 2 x land transfer form at 4.35pm as they were shutting at 5, with three staff members on, and only one other customer in the shop. He then provided incorrect information; stating a client authorisation form must be presented- however the fine print clearly states it is only to be witnessed WHEN presented by the customer IF REQUIRED. How anyone with a full time job gets to the post office and gets a form signed is beyond me.Despite this, the staff member above could do with some customer service training - it's not just the message but the delivery.

Avoid their passport services - your photo will be rejected (and jokingly critiqued if you're really lucky) you'll then be charged for them to take another despite the quality. Other reviews confirm this behaviour. Have reported to DFAT.

Seriously rude staff member (tall grey hair with glasses). I have seen this member of staff bite of several customers heads as I use this post office frequently and now I have the privilege (lol) of it being mine. Very impatient, unhelpful, sarcastic and just clearly doesn’t want to be there and shouldn’t be in any customer facing role. He didn’t explain properly what was needed of me to send my package and I had to go back to the counter and line up again 3 times and then proceeded to tell his colleague that went on to serve me that I was being difficult right there in front of me and was a shop full of people. Grossly incompetent and unprofessional! All the other staff are lovely.Improve your attitude man seriously, or get out if customer service …..simple as that!

I have had to come here to post many items over the years and also to pick up currency etc. The service has been generally very good.

I went in to get a travel card for my trip to Thailand. I went in around lunch time on a Monday and there was no wait at all. The Asian man who served me even gave me some (seemingly first-hand) recommendations about my trip that I had planned. Maybe it depends who you’re served by here (judging by the other reviews), but I had an enjoyable experience!

Deliveries dropped off at wrong locations or not at all, some rude and very unhelpful staff, long queues

I think I had the misfortune to be 'served' by the same staff member as a number of other people who have left reviews. He refused to help me with document and passport services that are clearly shown as being available on the Australia Post website. I left and went to another post office and got everything done with a very helpful and kind person. There's plenty of other post offices around, avoid this one if you have anything vaguely detailed that needs doing.
