We had to place our Mother into care and we were fortunate enough to find William Cape Gardens. From the time we secured her placement until after she passed away we could not have asked for more friendly, helpful and caring staff. Her complex care needs were met with compassion and empathy and her clinical needs were always dealt with a high degree of skill and professionalism.

All of the staff show an incredible amount of compassion and respect. They are always professional sometimes in very difficult circumstances. My thanks to them all for the care and treatment that my mother received in the almost 2 years that she was living at William Cape Gardens.

I am still shocked 2 weeks later. I took my mother in to see a friend of hers, the abhorrent receptionist treated my mother and I like we had the bubonic plague, snarling at us about blocking the door way, how to do the covid test, and masks. This is the second time that this younger receptionist with the dark hair and bigger build has been rude to us, she needs to reassess her customer service skills. As we where sitting at the tables a small group of staff congregated in the cafe area and proceeded to complain about the bosses" there

Our father Ted was a resident at William Cape Gardens but sadly passed away peacefully on 21/12/22 surrounded by our love.Even though dad was only there for a short time we as a family found ALL the staff very kind and caring towards dad and ourselves. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our amazing dad ❤️Sharon, Debbie and Melissa

I am compelled to write this review after my father has recently passed away and had spent the last year and a half in the care of the team at William Cape Gardens. From the time Dad took up residency there, I found the staff compassionate and caring and always willing to go above and beyond for the residents and their families. My father spent most of his 18 months, in the high care dementia ward where the staff were always readily available to spend time and make him feel special. Some would dance and sing whilst others would take special care in the grooming of the residents . All of the staff, from the RN's to the admin staff were always readily available to talk and respond to any unique needs that Dad and the family had.In his final weeks I spent long days and nights at William Cape. The staff were amazing, not only to my father, who they nurtured and cared for, but also to myself and the family. A cup of tea, an extra blanket or pillow, heartfelt conversations and a loving attentiveness was forever on hand. The experience of losing a parent is a difficult thing, but the staff and the love and compassion that they bring day in and day out to their jobs made the whole experience uplifting and really positive. It takes a special type of person to work in aged care, and William Cape has the best of the best. The culture of the workplace was something to be celebrated. Thank you to all of the beautiful staff who so lovingly cared for Dad. I will be forever grateful.

William Cape Gardens Staff and facilities are excellent . Our dear mother Helen, spent the last stage of her life in William Cape and they did everything they possibly could every day to make her healthy, happy and comfortable. All staff were incredibly kind to us as well. We knew from our first visit that this would be the most suitable facility for Mum and it was.Thankyou to Naomi, Patrick , Julie, Suresh and so many others who were always completely professional, kind and so good humoured to Mum. We could tell from Mum’s interactions how comfortable she was. Thankyou everyone. Alison , Kelly and Melissa.

As an admin. employee of almost 7 years I'm saddened to read some of the reviews shown here. William Cape Gardens employees and their management in my view are hard working and caring and I for one would be happy to place my mother in their care. These reviews are the opinion of the minority. In reference to the review from Imas Australia, this related to an entertainment booking and had nothing to do with the facility or its care staff. I have rated four stars, simply as there is always room for improvement.

So many negative issues. My dad has been in the same clothes for approximately 3 weeks. Trying to communicate with admin is impoosible, they prefer to control ALL of the talking over the phone, very little chance to get a word in and ask a question. The trolley tables in my parents' room are covered with old morning and afternoon teas. The floor in their room is always dirty plus their clothes are shoved anywhere.Labelled clothes have disapperaed. You request basic care, through email or face-to-face, such as can someone please ensure my dad wears his hearing aids when I take him to his appointments, doesn't happen, could my mum's false teeth be cleaned, rarely happens. Could my dad please get regular physio(willing to pay) and walking, doesn't happen. I used to have to do all these things myself but with strict COVID rules, I can't visit as much. These basic requests are not too much to ask. It is definitely a business, the facade is carefully orchestrated, profit definitely supersedes genuine care.

My dad spent his last couple of months in William Cape and due to border closures, I wasn't able to visit, it was a heartbreaking time for me. The staff in his ward cared for him in an amazing way. They made sure he was comfortable and kept me informed with everything. A big shoutout to Naomi, one of his clinical care nurses. She went above and beyond for me and I can not thank her enough. If you are looking for a wonderful facility for your elderly, this is the place to go. From the bottom of my heart, thankyou to everyone involved.

A big thank you to the staff at William Cape Gardens for the care and compassion shown to my sister Marjorie over the past two and a half years. A special thank you to Naomi the clinical care manager and all the nursing staff, particularly Suresh, Rhoda and Patrick for being so caring during her final months. It was a great relief to family knowing she was in the hands of such competent and dedicated staff. Thank you all so much.
