Paramount Hair Extensions

This salon in very unprofessional. I made an appointment but had to wait 50 minutes before they started on my hair. The tapes are EXTREMELY THIN! You will need at least 200 pieces (100 sandwiches) for the extensions to look somewhat natural. The extensions are NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY and is causing so much pain to my scalp! I went back and they did absolutely nothing but get defensive and spoke down to me like I was dumb. I really wanted to like this salon but I unfortunately do not have anything nice to say.

THIS IS A BUSINESS THAT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE RUN FROM AUSTRALIA.I selected this business for my hair extensions and colour because of the great reviews, prices and helpfulness of staff when I did my initial quote.That is where the good service ended. I had my appointment cancelled on me at last-minute (via text) as the one and only colourist was sick. I get that people get sick but it became clear to me that they only have one colourist. Be careful if you have an event coming up!I paid a $100 deposit in cash and was told that the deposits were controlled in America and that I had to provide my bank account details (to someone in America that I don't know) if I want my deposit back, despite paying in cash.They don't have a phone number that can receive incoming calls so I have had to try and resolve this via text. All very frustrating. This business seems great on the outside but the service was really poor and I now have to try and get my deposit back and find someone else to do my hair.The girl that you have to deal with via text is not overly professional. I don't think she is based in Australia. I explained to her that I understood that people get sick but cancelling via text at 11am for a 1.15pm appointment is not great service. She also explained that they had to cancel all their colouring appointments on this day (not just mine). Strange to only have one colourist at a hair salon. Probably good for people to be aware of. Also...a bit of a warning to Australian clients, the business does not appear to be run from here.Before you start, read the lowest quality reviews and not the highest quality ones because most of the 1-star reviews are quite honest and a good reflection of this business.

Followed the salon for a long time on Instagram so was excited to have my extensions done here. First of all the hair quality is amazing - pricey but worth it. The only issue I had was with the application - the extensions were placed in difficult places to hide and i found that I could constantly see the tapes poking out. Second - the glue from the tapes was terrible... after washing my hair the first time 3 pieces fell out and continued to fall out over the next few weeks. I've had extensions for years and never had this issue. The staff were helpful and put them back in for me but it continued to happen until I got them retaped elsewhere

I first came into paramount late last year & can’t imagine going anywhere else now. My hair has gone from a dark brunette to a beautiful ash blonde without compromising the condition of my hair. My colourist Megan is amazing & the girls are always so lovely on each visit. Highly recommend!

The best quality tape extensions I’ve had the pleasure of using. After 6 years of chopping & changing brands of tape-in extensions, the ones this salon uses have lasted the longest and remain both silky and shiny! Down to earth girls and I’m always leaving with a smile!

Terrible service and job. The place is messy whenever I go. I had been going for a year and had brown extensions retaped over 5 times. I decided to go blonde, where the girls stuffed up my colour to start off with (they claimed to love doing blonde transformations) I was there from 9am until 6pm due to the stuff up. I went home and brushed my hair and 3 extensions fell right out (I wasn’t even brushing hard) I messaged the owner who told me to go back and have them retaped the next day, which I did (it takes me an hour to get there and back) and every extension was checked over. The girls advised that everyone had been checked and that this shouldn’t happen again. I went home again and 3 days later even more extensions where falling out. I messaged the owner AGAIN who told me to go back AGAIN where they were fixed AGAIN. Not even 1 week later, extensions fell out AGAIN!!! Upon messaging the owner for the 3rd time, she proceed to tell me that it was MY FAULT and that “everyone else’s hair is fine”, she even blamed me for the shampoo I was using even though I used the same exact products I used the past year I explained that I had been going to her salon for over a year and never had any issues so this time around it was definitely not my fault. Her only suggestion was to go back and have them retaped for the 3rd time which I clearly wasn’t doing because it would have just happened again. $1500 later and she won’t even respond to my messages to give me my money back for the faulty tape they used! I found an ever better hair dresser who actually fixed my issue and has better hair and tape than this salon ever had.

I've been going to Paramount Hair Extensions for over a year now and am always impressed by their good quality service. The girls are all really nice and my hair is always looking amazing after and in between my salon visits. Definitely recommend!

I was really confused by the disparity between how amazing Paramount's extensions before and afters are on Instagram, and the horrible review on here, and it took me a bit longer to book because of it. But I'm SO GLAD I did book!! I've never had extensions blended so well! I wanted them cut to just beyond the length of my hair for volume rather than length, and they let me go home and think about it before getting them cut that much shorter for free, which I really appreciate. They put darker ones around my hairline so that when I pull my hair back into a ponytail they're not obvious, and the tapes are nice and light. Overall strongly recommend!

Paramount in Sydney installed my first hair extensions at the beginning of the year and I am very happy with the care they take. I now regularly go for blow waves in between retaping and colour due to the lovely relationship I have built with the team. The quality of the extensions used is amazing.

I’ve been coming to paramount regularly for over a year and am always really pleased with the service - it’s always quick and easy... was in and out for my last retape in about 1.5 hours. The hair is great quality and they know their stuff when it comes to placement. The girls are fun and bubbly and make me feel relaxed and comfortable coming in. Thank you!
