I'm pretty sure a unicorn died to make these breakfasts, delicious, loved the little lychee pearl bombs and overall both dishes were generous. Awesome that the kids meal included a delicious cold pressed juice. Was quiet for a Sunday morning so need to support it!

Wow! What an amazing new addition to Altona. This cafe is outstanding. I visited today with my husband and two kids, from the moment we walked in we were met by some enthusiastic staff who helped us out with a table and took our orders quickly.I felt like I had barely even waited and our coffees were out promptly! We tried two different bean blends - Unknown, which is quite smooth in texture and Mistress which I felt was a strong hit with some fruit tones. Both were great as a flat white with oat milk.The best part about my whole visit was having the kids meals arrive fast and before any other food had arrived at the table. As a mum, I really appreciate the kids food coming out fast AND it was such a generous sized portion too. My kids enjoyed the cheese toasties which came with a side of chips and cold pressed juice.My husband and I enjoyed two mains from the breakfast selection and we were not disappointed. The presentation and flavours were spot on. There is so much on the menu to choose from, we will definitely be back to try more.Thank you to Owen for looking after us today (I'll have to catch everyone else's names when we visit next time) I'll be telling everyone I know to drop in.

A great experience at VELVET BEAN ALTONA CAFE. Ambiance was lovely. I love the concept of rainbow wall. Food was really good and the presentation was spot on. The cappuccino tastes delicious . The best thing is 100% halal menu. The staff was super lovely. Service was so quick. There are indoor and outdoor seatings. My visit to Australia was made infinitely better by our stop in this lovely cafe. I'd been having a rough day but it got turned around by the sweetest manager who served us by the name of Noelle/Grey. She had the most lovely welcome for us and was incredibly kind and helpful. She is a credit to this business. As a tourist she helped make our vacation experience so enjoyable, with her easy manner and helpful suggestions. Because of that we will be coming back to the cafe often while we vacation here and when we return in the future.The coffee the young man( sorry I didn't get his name) made us was absolutely the best coffee we have had since landing in Australia and some of the best we have ever had. The tomato soup and cheese toasty was delicious and a wonderful twist on a well love comfort food from home but with an upscale taste. I am so glad Noelle suggested it for us! I highly recommend stopping at this lovely cafe and taking advantage of the amazing service, great food and delicious coffee!Amazing service! Great Food! Exquisite Coffee! Thanks for making this foodie's Aussie experience exceptional.

This cafe is definitely a crowd pleaser and seemed to be a popular place to visit.We sat outside and it was lovely, plenty of seating and great service. The menu is impressive with lot's of variety, we shared the cauliflower salad, spaghetti pescatore and hotcakes. The dishes were presented beautifully and tasted yummy. I wanted to try the French Soda which was refreshing. The coffee was absolutely stunning and it was good to see so many different coffee blends on the menu.A must visit if you're in the area

Stumbled across this small cafe on pier st Altona.The place offers indoor and outdoor seating.The staff members were very friendly and service was quick.Big breakfast 7.5/10 generous serving and the mushroom medley was the best on that plate.Steak Sandwich, steak was overcooked and chewy. 5.2/10Hot Cakes - 7/10Juices were awesome and served in a large glass.

A gem of a spot. Food is delicious and point. The drinks were also tasty. Great coffee too.Also, their fries were amazing - crispy, and moreish!Just go! I recommend!

Cute little cafe. Has an extensive breakfast and lunch menu so there will be something for everyone's tastes. Had the salmon fritters, Krispy Korean burger and the brioche french toast. Fried Chicken was juicy. Very filling meals.
