Went there for first time last Friday night. All staff I dealt with were as would expect/hope for if my business. Friendly, engaging and efficient. Great food and atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Was there Sunday noon to try out Scottish breakfast and roast. Good food, good portions.The ambiance was quite muted and staff just seemed busy. Maybe more lively in the evenings.

Great atmosphere.Great staff.Great owner!Had many tasty meals and a few (too many!) drinks in there. A must visit" if in the area. Themed nights and "happy hour" just add to the positive experience.A small slice of Scotland

where the locals go.my friends and I went to the Cross on a Saturday night for a little and quiet after-birthday celebration. It was a perfect choice as we enjoyed a fantastic dinner, beautiful drinks, delicious desserts, and a stunning Whisky paddle which I will tell more about later.A little entree of two dishes, Salmon Ceviche, and Crumbed Calamari was enough to share amongst the four of us and we were happy that we followed the advice of the waitress who mentioned that the mains will be filling. So, for mains, we enjoyed a Beetroot Gnocchi, a Pan Seared Salmon, a Lamb Shoulder, and a Steak Sandwich. And yes, the dishes are as delicious as it shows in the pictures we took!!But now to the highlight of the evening. We ordered a Whisky paddle that got matched with delicious Chocolate pralines. I never was much of a fan of Whisky, but what we got served that night just changed my mind. The Whiskys, selected by the waiter who knows his stuff, were incredible tasteful each with a unique flavour and a perfect match with the chocolates.The Cross has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and it is so much more than just another pub on Fitzroy Street in St Kilda. Truly, a place where locals go.

A very average bar, which is fine for a quick local drink however the level of RSA monitoring was pretty overwhelming. People that could genuinely barely even keep their eyes open were still being served, people were stumbling and certainly not in a position to be served alcohol any further. The staff were attentive and doing their best however without security, there was a real sense of a lack of safety for patrons and staff.

As a local went to try their roast for the first time last week and it was amazing. The team were warm and friendly. Definitely going back. Shout out to Jonah went above and beyond.

Karen was a lovely hostess. She clearly exceeded her responsibilities. She was so welcoming when I arrived. It is my second day in Melbourne and to have someone so welcoming and considerate be so engaging with each of the customers makes you feel right at home even when you are on the other side of the planet.Thank you Karen for going out of your way to make an effort. I wish you all the very best in your career. You are very clearly an asset to your team.What a warm welcome!
