For 20 years or more I have worked alongside Alison and her team at VMA. Their students are exceptional vocalists, so well prepared and totally professional. Alison inspires that in her students.Over the years VMA has provided Out There Productions with professional vocalists in our events and performances. I can always rely on the singers to get it just right. Brilliant preparation and execution.Alison has developed a methodology of mentoring her students. She develops fundamental vocal technique with each of her students. Singing for them becomes so free and open. Her students become fluent readers and are taught the relevant musicology to understand the intent and history of the music they sing.VMA have a range of delivery methods. Whether it be at one of their venues or remotely via live online tuition and lesson modules every student has access to this wonderful training.

My daughter, Milla, joined VMA in 2019 at age 9. She always loved singing and performing and she’s had so many wonderful opportunities to do that with VMA. She has toured interstate performing at wonderful venues with professional musicians, sung in recording studios, performed at QPAC for the New Years Eve Masquerade Ball, and performed with the Mirusia and the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra at City Hall. To name just a few!Singing with VMA has meant so much more than performing opportunities though. From the moment she started she felt welcome and she has really found her tribe. She has gained confidence, poise and maturity learning to perform on stage, and she also has so much fun with her creative, musical friends. VMA really values leadership at all levels and they have given milla opportunities to discover her leadership capabilities. They are incredibly supportive and encouraging. I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with VMA.

My son Declan wanted to improve his singing and we wanted the best teacher. Alison has a reputation for developing singing voices to the highest standard. We have found that Alison has done this but also given him guidance and council in all things related to his musical studies and other things too. I feel that there is no better teacher. He has gained confidence and I expect that he could pursue a career in this industry if he chooses to do so.Alison relates well with all age groups which makes her a pleasure to deal with. Her natural rapport with the youth is reflected in her ability to give each child the most empathic guidance when required and education too. I have known Alison Rogers for over 6 years, initially as choir master at my daughters’ school and afterwards as their private singing coach and mentor. Fantastic for singers of all ages, experiences and abilities. Since joining Vocal Manoeuvres Academy I have learned so much about music in general and ensemble singing in particular. Rehearsals are fun and productive. As a teacher, I have been been referring my students to Vocal Manoeuvres Academy for many years. Our daughter has always been a keen singer and performer, so we decided lessons with the Vocal Manoeuvres Academy (VMA) would fulfil the need to learn more and grow as singer in particular to cover music theory, to increase her knowledge and development and broaden her horizons to future opportunities.Since starting with VMA in 2022 She has blossomed as a singer, her technique has improved and she is fully engaged in her lessons which she participates in online as we live in a regional town. Our daughter started at Vocal Manoeuvres Academy (VMA) this year and she is already growing in confidence with her singing as she feels completely included and never judged.She has had singing lessons for many years but as her classical voice has developed, she needed more opportunities to learn and perform in the classical style. After extensive research, VMA's strong focus on Theory as part of their Youth Ensemble Program as well as their variety of performance opportunities, stood out as being exactly what she needed. And because they also have ensembles and small groups for older teenagers and adults, there is a seamless pathway that our daughter can follow to continue singing well into her adult years.She has also started private lessons with Alison and is preparing for her Trinity Singing exam. She is responding well to Alison’s caring and informative teaching style which is already producing such a wonderful, more mature and confident singing voice, which is very exciting. Because VMA has such wonderful values, she is excited to feel not only connected to other young singing but also feels empowered to be in control of her own learning and singing journey through great leadership.We are very happy that we have moved to Vocal Manoeuvrers and are very thankful to Alison and her team for providing such a wonderful environment for our daughter to continue to grow in confidence and ability for many years to come.Thank you.

We have 2 daughters that are a part of the VMA family.We decided to join VMA because they were wanting guidance to shape their voices and train in a professional environment.Our daughters confidence and skills have grown significantly whilst taking part in the choral ensemble & private lessons and they have been given so many fantastic opportunities to perform.VMA provides the girls with lots of encouragement, support and their values are something our girls take into their everyday lives.We would highly recommend VMA for anyone wanting to develop their vocal skills.

Our search over 14 months ago for a credible music academy lead us to VMA for our son. Alison and the team were extremely warm, understanding and supportive which made my son (and us) feel very comfortable in joining. My son has remained at VMA ever since, and has continued to develop his vocals with a collaborative effort and guidance from Alison and Luke. Whilst our son has private lessons, which he looks forward to every week, there are also ample opportunities for involvement in other initiatives offered by VMA, whether it be back up vocals for well known iconic bands, choirs and ensembles that enable singers to be actively involved in the music industry and the community.
