Chevron Island Chempro Chemist

We used to like coming to this pharmacy, even though the prices are higher. But the male pharmacist is really creepy, and the older blonde lady is so hit and miss. Sometimes they’re helpful, most times now, they just don’t care. It’s a shame, it’s as if they’re shutting shop or something and just don’t care anymore. Sad for us middle age folk, as they used to make you feel part of a community. We will be finding a new pharmacy - one that actually cares and is respectful to its loyal customers.

Absolutely love the pharmacy and the entire team down there … we are locals and cannot speak highly enough of the friendly service we receive each and every time we go there. I went there today to pick up my fortnightly medication as it was the closest Chempro and I am a long time regular customer of the Chempro at Ashmore Plaza.Not only did they charge me $66.25 more for the exact same 4 medications I pickup from a neighbouring suburb Chempro, they manually overrode the $6.60 PBS SAFETY NET price that the system automatically generated by a further $34.70 and it is all on the pharmacy stickers.What is even more devious and calculating was how they chose to price match what I NORMALLY pay each fortnight at Ashmore Plaza Chempro for that medication when they manually input the PBS price override on the last of the 4 prescriptions they dispensed.I have been physically disabled permanently for 9 years now and I have seen many pharmacies blame Medicare for their prices, the reality is that pharmacies all over Australia are set a maximum cost per medication up to the point where a Medicare card holder reaches the PBS SAFETY NET each calendar year, after that they must charge the set price (currently $6.60), they then receive $$$ from Medicare to cover the difference between the set safety net amount and the agreed cost of the medication.SHAME ON YOU, I TOLD THE PHARMACIST DUE TO COVID I AM 6 WEEKS OVERDUE AN IN HOSPITAL TREATMENT AND SUFFERING TOO MUCH PAIN TO DRIVE THE EXTRA 7 MINUTES TO MY USUAL PHARMACY AND SHE WAS VERY SYMPATHETIC AND POLITE WHILST BLATANTLY OVERCHARGING ME $66.25.

i have been going to this chemist for many many years. i have the best experience when i go there. The staff are very friendly and informative.Expert advice and impeccable service. Their prices are comparable if not lower than most. I highly recommend this chemist 5 Star
