People I was served by were really mean and the dress I bought was super uncomfortable!!

1 staff member was friendly and helpful, the other staff members seemed busy gossiping amongst themselves. The change rooms were dirty and smelled unhygienic, not even a chair to put your belongings on. Such a shame that there was no luxury feel to the store when they sell luxury items…

I bought a sequence dress from Rachel Gilbert in Armadale. Did not wear the dress because the sequence came off at the front of the dress on the day of the function I bought it for.. I rang the Armadale store on the Saturday morning to advise them I could not wear the dress for a wedding i had to go to that day. I brought the dress back on the Tuesday as they advised. I wanted the dress exchanged because the fabric was horrible and the sequence was coming off. They did not offer me an exchange but wanted to repair it. I was not happy with this because the sequence fabric was horrible which looked faulty. Never again will I buy anything from Rachel Gilbert. I have never had this problem before with other designers. The service is disgusting after paying full price for a gown. Unhappy client. Beware.

I contacted Head Office in a somewhat frantic state thinking that a previous Rachael Gilbert purchase was no longer suitable for my daughter’s wedding which is next week. Despite another gown not being available online, Cathy was able to offer a number of alternative options in line with the style I was after. I also went to the Armadale boutique to try on a different gown and they were equally as helpful and recalled my original purchase quite a few months ago. Despite my state of uncertainty, both teams were understanding and empathetic and I was made to feel at ease until we were able to resolve the concern I had with my initial purchase. Such a wonderful experience and outstanding service! No wonder they are my “go-to” for any special occasion need!! Thank you x

A warning to brides considering Rachel Gilbert. I had chosen a Rachel Gilbert dress for my wedding. The dress, along with 10 others I tried on were damaged and filthy. This should have been a red flag from the beginning! After taking 3 months to repair and dry clean the dress, I received the dress only to find out it had shrunk and been damaged in the dry cleaning process. I traveled to the Emporium store, paid for parking and picked up another dress (the last in my size), this dress was also filthy with a tear which was apparently an easy fix. I hand delivered the dress myself to the seamstress and travelled back up from the Mornington Peninsula the following weekend to have it taken up (no one offered to assist in this process). When trying on the second dress I discovered an irrepairable hole in the dress. After phoning Rachel Gilbert they informed me not to worry, that the dress would be sent to Sydney where their seamstress would remake the front of the dress and promised to return it in perfect condition. Nervously, with only 4 weeks until my wedding I agreed. With now 3 weeks until my wedding I phoned Rachel Gilbert to find out the progress of my dress. I was told that the dress could not be fixed and was being sent back to Melbourne! I was mislead into thinking they were fixing it, they held my dress in Sydney for 2 weeks with no intention of repairing it or communication and I had to phone them to find out what was going on!!! I was left with no dress and 3 weeks to my wedding. After hesitantly giving me a refund, I thankfully found a gorgeous boutique in Armadale with the most stunning handmade gowns, even off the rack they were in impeccable condition. I have not received any replies to my recent emails from the head office and feel completely let down by the company. I would never recommend Rachel Gilbert to anyone.

I can not speak more highly about the service from Rachel Gilbert in Armadale!I purchased my wedding dress and with the lovely help from Louise it was nothing but smooth sailing!From organising dry cleaning to recommending alterations it was a stress free and lovely experienceI received so many compliments about my dress!Definitely recommend ☺️

The staff went out of their way to help us choose the right dresses for me and my two daughters. Indeed very kind and professional staff and I was impressed by their fashion advice. Look forward to shopping again at Rachel and Gilbert Boutique. Highly recommended for customers that have special occasions.
