Emily shows incredible maturity in how she communicates and is able to transfer her knowledge and skills to riders of all ages. She seems to have an innate understanding of both human and equine natures, keeping things fun and engaging for the riders in her care. It is not easy to find a safe, knowledgeable, and fun riding instructor for kids. We were so lucky to find Emily who provided a safe learning environment for my 10-year-old daughter. Emily communicated technical concepts to my daughter at an age-appropriate level and built her confidence lesson by lesson, teaching her the skills she needed to make her feel capable. She always acknowledged my daughter’s progress and helped her recognise the progress she had made, no matter how small. My daughter was smiling after every lesson with Emily.Emily appropriately challenged my daughter, testing her with trickier exercises each week. Kids love to try new things, and Emily was imaginative with a range of activities in each lesson - games, arena figures, changes of rein, transitions, gymnastic jumping exercises, and the occasional trail ride.Emily’s passion for horses, skill and multi-discipline background transcends into her love for teaching, and kids really do know when an instructor is sincere and dedicated to teaching them.Emily is patient, has excellent communication skills and the ability to encourage and motivate her students while remaining calm under pressure.
