I have just completed the Basic Camera Skills Course" with Alison and found it very informative. I am a self taught "photographer" and have watched dozens of YouTube tutorials on photography but still managed to learn a lot in the classroom environment. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in learning more about what their camera can do and how to take better photos."

I have owned a DCLR for a few years, but it was not until I took Alison and Hardy course of basic camera skills that I was able to realise more of the potential of my photographic equiment. Alison's knowledge, skill in explaining complex concepts, and her patience enabled me to make the most of the course. I recommend it to anyone with an interest in photography.

Back in early 2016 I started a Real Estate and Architectural Photography company and had little idea on the Art of Photography so I was in need of some training and bit of a mentor. I reached out to Allison & Hardy and they were a massive help and played a huge part in the early days of our business which is now a successful growing business. I recently completed the Basic Camera Skills Course with Alison Ahlhaus of Focal Point photos. It was a great experience.I have recently purchased my first digital camera and wanted to understand the basics through 'hands on' training.Alison covered every aspect of photography from basic settings and camera handling skills through to exposure techniques, motion and shutter speed control, depth of vision and composition. It was a very comprehensive course delivered in an informal and fun way.Alison and Hardy were very generous with their time, taking us into the field to experiment and practise.Whilst it has been a steep learning curve for me, I highly recommend Alison's course for anyone wanting to quickly develop their technical photography skills or build on their existing capabilities. Thank you Alison for sharing your knowledge and passion for photography.
