Coles Fountain
This is my favourite fountain in Melbourne. You'll often see people playing under it getting drenched in a hot day. Within the grounds of the parliamentary gardens its really accessible to everyone.

Amazing top down fountain with an alleyway to almost walk up to three middle of it - good to check out if you're in the area.. kids will really enjoy the visit.

What a great little park to sit near some fresh fountains and enjoy a moment of peace in the city. Refreshing on a hot day. Small but lots of well maintained grass to sit, and appreciated the statues of the indigenous leaders.

We walked several blocks in mid thirty temperatures with our two infant children only to arrive to a non-operating fountain. No explanation and the water is too dirty to even wade in. 2 disappointed parents, two hot children.

Coles Fountain
Beautiful looking from a distance, but deceptive. The surface was supposedly not flat, but contains many different depths, hence my legs full of bruises and cuts. Might be better to visit during daytime to capture a realistic picture of the entailed risks. Two stars because the water temperature was good.
