Mitcham Primary School

My son has been in this school for 5 years. We love the school and the teachers there. Mrs Lawson, principle Mrs Erin and Mrs Wood are very nice and they truly care of the kids.

Been at the school since prep to grade 6. Teachers were incredibly poor at solving bullying and social conflict… to the point where they tried to make students do it for them. To me, it just sounds unprofessional-Furthermore, from my experience- they don’t focus on helping students individually. So, if your kid has trouble learning or tends to struggle, I wouldn’t recommend.The school claims that every student has a positive attitude. But, I spoke with someone in grade 5 a year ago and they confessed to me that they were harming themselves due to stress at school.If you want to send your child here, make sure that they’re able to learn fast and defend themselves from rude people constantly. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend.

this school is okay. The education is okay but I remeber the garde 6 students say that they dont know their timetables (1-12)... and the school. The teachers (not all) also have favourites and treat some of the students with more care than others. Alot of the teachers also may ignore you when you want to say something.

Ok school, my major complaint is that if a person is in the upper quartile (academically) then it gets dead boring as a lot of times you get the same questions with a decimal at the end. But this school did a good job at helping develop passive skills (ie. manners, understanding emotions and other non-academical skills). All the 5/6 teachers are stupendous.

Great Memories and teachers. The Montessori program excels at giving students great education.

Mitcham is led by Erin Norman and her Deputy is Heather Wood, both strong leaders and wonderful mentors for our children. The staff we have worked with are amazing (professional, principled & connected to their life's work) and we highly recommend. The community of families is a tapestry of colours coming from all over the world and every socioeconomic background and I feel privileged to be associated. We highly recommend this school.

If you keep to yourself and don't talk to anyone, than this school should be fine for you.Also some of the teachers have favourites and they make that clear to the rest of the class.
