Chicken or fish? The most destroyed piece of grilled snapper we have ever come across. Smallest pieces of chip, no potato filling at all, and the batter on the squid was so thick. Not a nice experience at all. Attempted to call the business to advise of our disappointment however no one answered the phone after several attempts.What a shame......not sure how a fish and chip shop can cook a piece of fish so poorly.

First time eating at the fish and chip shop and I must say this is the best shop we have had. The shake was second to none, this is our new go to takeaway shop. Great work guys!!!

Have just moved to the area and read the local reviews which led us to Off the Hook. We are blown away, our dinner was so fresh and tasty. Chips stayed crunchy, the squid and prawns are to die for. I could go on forever 5/5 hands down.

I have relied on this place for my Friday night dinner for the last six months. The food has always been fantastic. I have, however, had an issue recently where I called, and when the phone was picked up, no one answered. I was able to hear everything that was happening while no one asked me to hold or what I would like to order. After 10 minutes of this, the phone randomly hung up. I called back a few minutes later and had the same thing happen for another 10 minutes. I would highly recommend that you avoid using the phone line as it is unreliable at best. I will be reconsidering whether I will be relying on the business in the future

Off the Hook Fish N Chips
This place is by far the best fish and chips in the Greater local area. Fantastic friendly service, ordered snapper & chips beautiful fish and batter. Also ordered squid and prawns for the family and really could not fault any aspect of the service and the food. Highly recommend and will definitely become our local.

The fish and chips are way to oil based I been and been told the order will be ready in 15 minutes this is untrue the average wateing time is well in excess of 30 minutes or more obviously the phone orders come first it's just another rush money making business. With high priced items and on top of that their only open so many days of the week theirs nothing special about this outlet and then it seem to be run by native New Zealand operators who are notorious for their slip slop attitude o by the way the salt covers their mistakes .I certainly wont be going their again

Staff is off the hook!Store is off the hook!The fish n chips were absolutely off the hook!Definitely represent its name, and my food was still hot and crunchy when we brought it back home.Well worth the stop here especially for big families to feed.Nga mihi ❤️

The food here is always really tasty. Great portion sizes too. But the reason I write this review is because of the service!! The girls are always so happy and positive. Friendly and just awesome people!! Our favourite fish and chip shop by miles!!!
