Portarlington Grand Hotel

Amazing!!! We are staying for the long weekend. Shauna has provided exceptional service and went above and beyond. Food is to die for! Rooms are clean and furnished beautifully. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

Extremely poor service. Ordered 6 meals and only 3 arrived. Asked where other three were twice before another 2 arrived. I asked for a refund when my 85 year old mother had watched all of us finish our meals and her fish and chips still hadn't arrived. I was given the refund and returned to the table and her meal finally arrived. Thomas, the rude guy, who took the orders and to whom I complained each time then walked up with another plate of fish and chips and basically accused me of getting a refund after the food had arrived. Not my choice of place to return to on the Bellarine.

Lunch with family 8 adults 5 children.. we walked in no booking service and food amazing.. everything came out all together on time and hot .. great burgers ! great cocktails friendly staff .. thank you..!

We had lunch today at this hotel. Our meat was over cooked and our fish was over cooked. The sides were appalling. The bread we ordered and paid for was stale and cold. We were hungry so we ate it despite complaining to the waitress and bar tender. Needless to say we will not be back. We were on going customers and in the past the food was ok. We would have expected to be told that the manager would be speaking to us to find out why we were unhappy but all we got was laughs. Unbelievable!

We had an early Mother’s Day lunch at the newly renovated restaurant and the food was Devine and the service was fantastic. PaulIs an asset to the establishment always so helpful and always with a smile. Will definitely be back to experience the other eating areas available

Phenomenal rooms! I was blown away with the quality and luxe aesthetic of our room (the bathrooms... stunning!). The interior design is flawless, and all the little details are executed perfectly. They haven't skimped out on anything because everything is of exceptional quality with no detail left unturned; French linen curtains, well-placed PowerPoints, great layout, impeccable colour-scheme - every item is intentionally curated and as an interior design fanatic I can safely say that they have done an amazing job. I even loved the bathroom amenities - which are from an Australian, ethical and natural beauty company Sodashi. No tacky sample size shampoo etc, they provide beautiful full size products and it is a wonderful detail on top of a beautiful bathroom. Very luxurious, you won't regret staying here and I would highly recommend in a heartbeat. 10/10! our room was facing the main road and had such a great terrace and view. This is absolutely a 5 star hotel and amazing effort from all involved in delivering the design, it's really beautiful and everything is of high quality and intentional. Thank you!

We had Sunday lunch with friends in the Grand Hotel's Bistro. It's a very well furnished restaurant with comfortable seating and chairs. The staff were super friendly and provided great service. The menu is typical pub food but great quality and good size servings. We also enjoyed a nice local wine. Prices were reasonable for this type of dining. We had a very enjoyable meal and would return when next in the region.

Great to have the venue back, renovations are grand! We had a big group, but no problem, staff handled it well, Amy looked after us and did a great job, drinks kept coming, meals were quick, thanks!

Went here for lunch with friends.Great location and very well presented dining rooms.The food was typical pub food, but done very well.I had fush and chips. Lightly battered and delicious. My wife had calamari.Also great.The other dishes looked great. Mussels, mushroom risotto and paella.The portions were very generous and id've been happy with just one filet of fish.The only disappointment was the coffee. Virtually no colour or flavour.Shame, as everything else was great.Special mention for the serving staff who were so pleasant and helpful. They made it a great day out.

The staff were warmly welcoming from check-in to checkout. No request was too much and any queries were resolved promptly and happily without any fuss.The stay was relaxing, quiet and comfortable and exceptionally priced for the goods and services provided.The food at the hotel and surrounding eateries has Melbourne prices BUT the quantity of the food is more than you would get in Melbourne.Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will most definitely be back again.
