Jan Wah Chinese Restaurant

This restaurant is very bad. Especially in the way how they treat the customers. I had dinner with my husband during one of our road trip but then when we were having the food, one of the lady, (could be owner)came to us and told that we need to finish our dinner as soon as possible and leave. We felt so shocked cause we paid the food, we were just enjoyed the meal didn’t spent few hours why she acted like we messed her place up. To be honest we didn’t go there with fancy dress cause we thought it is only take away restaurant but the way she looked at us seems she put price tag on us. I think I have right to wear anything that make me comfortable. I felt so embarrassed and upset for what she has done to us. Why she look down on us, it was unfair for me. That was the worst service that I ever had during our trip. We didn’t steal anything there. We paid for what we have eaten. I felt so bad on her behave. hope only me and my husband she treated like that.

We are avid Asian food fansHave been eating asian food all over Australia, this would have to be the first time ever that we had to throw this out. Cannot describe the weirdness of this food and no taste. Perhaps frozen and quite concerned that we were going to get food poisoning. Please do better .

I don’t normally leave reviews but felt I had to this time. Absolutely awful!! Food was disgusting and tasted very salty. The restaurant was cold and empty!! The lady that served us didn’t want a bar of us unless we had cash. She didn’t even care when we told her we couldn’t eat the food!! Don’t go there!!

This is worst chinese restarant where i have ever visited in Australia, only pay in cash, i can tastes burnt my food.

Terrible, food was soggy and not very good tasting. Lady had issues with her phone and was harassing us to fix it for her. Another lady came in and she harrased her as well. Would never eat there again sorry.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The landlady was very friendly. It's cash only, but that's ok. The IGA is just next door. So get your BYO & cash at the same time

Stopped on a trip to grab a fried rice for tea, when we opened it up there was live maggots in all the prawns and it stunk like off seafood. When we took it back to show the lady at the counter she insisted ‘thats what prawns are like’ and pretended she couldn’t see the maggots crawling all over the prawns. She then said, ‘well I just get you another one’. We got our money back with much insisting. Worried for others who may be eating this off food.

At first, the lady was not so accommodating or she didn't treat us well, but we love the food and place. Meantime she asked how was the food going, well she seems to be nice. The food that I ordered is a soup, Beef Laksa. It's medium spicy taste and really good for my tummy. Anyhow, thinking of their business hours, they closed at 2:30 pm and we arrived there 15 minutes past two. Maybe that's why she's kinda cranky but at least she still serves us. :)

Have had take away from this restaurant twice and both times the food has been delicious. The special fried rice is full of ingredients and the meat dishes have plenty of meat and fresh crisp vegetables. First visit the lady taking orders was very friendly. Second time she asked for our order before we had even picked up the menu and seemed very impatient. I guess we are all entitled to our 'off' days. But we are there for the food so we will keep coming back.

Ordered takeaway, lady who served us was lovely and accomodating. However, food is questionable. Does not taste fresh, honestly not worth the amount I paid for it. Lovely restaurant but food is awful.
