Lava Coffee
The latte art at Lava Espresso Weston attempted to depict a swan. The execution, overall, wasn't bad. For the cappuccino that I ordered, the angle of the Swan's neck to rump was quite acute and unrealistic. That being said, my partner's swan was more realistic, perhaps depicting a Eurosiberian Mute Swan rather than Australian Black Swan. Overall, however, great coffee, great service, 5 stars.

Good coffee. Nice atmosphere. Nice & open in summer - not so stuffy as most places. Quite pricey - a dollar more expensive for my usual order. Chris' Patisserie next to them makes better Mochas, and nicer people.

Great coffee and treats, what more could a working man ask? I know! A nice place to sit and chat with mates while the coffee soothes the soul and props up the intelligence quotient. Can't wait for Monday morning!

Sign on window says open at 7. Google says open at 7. But it's 7.20, lights off and nobody here. What a waste of time. I would think maybe it's closed for the holidays, but they were open yesterday?Oh well I won't bother again for a half filled, burnt $7 coffee, better to just wait until the other cafes open after the holiday period.

Nice chill cafe set-up. Coffee is good but prefer some of the other amazing coffee beans Canberra has to offer (eg Ona).

I'm slightly biased as this is my local, but hands-down one of the best coffee shops in Canberra. Consistently excellent. Don't let the down-to-Earth service and absence of hipster accessories fool you - these guys know coffee, and are committed to each and every one they make!
