The Personnel Group

I was interviewed for a Workplace Support Consultant's position with The Personnel Group (TPG) on 25 Jan 23 . At that time I was told that the panel was intending to have all of their interviews finalised, and a decision made on the successful applicant, by the end of the following week i.e. 03 Feb. I was also assured that I would be contacted, regardless of whether I had been successful or not. I assume that this assurance was provided to all interviewees and not just myself.I subsequently contacted that office on 07 Feb for an update on the panel's decision, only to be told that the interviews had been extended for another week, but quite possibly another fortnight, because one of the applicants had COVID and was therefore not available to be interviewed the week beforehand. I emailed Gemma M. (their GM for HR) on 13 Mar, and John G. (their CEO) on 16 Apr 23, to advise of the lack of feedback, but have still not heard from either of them either.The lack of simple common courtesy is appalling, particularly from an organisation whose 'Values & Vision' statement says that they 'respect each other and our diversity, we deliver on our promises, and we listen and act on constructive feedback' website. TPG were quite insistent that all candidates had to undergo a National Police Check as part of the initial interview process (at a cost of approximately $50.00 each), yet they couldn't fund the cost of a simple email or postage stamp to advise anyone of the outcome of their interview. And all the while the majority of the interviewees like myself are wasting time at home waiting to find out whether they need to apply somewhere else!
