Kirby Swim Melville

Kirby used to he amazing but with change in management lately things have been challenging, cancelling classes, changing teachers for little kids too often. The atmosphere has changed and needs to lift its game to the standard we are used to.Thanks

Our nine month old loves the water and we found his teacher Kylie great! The lessons are really adventurous and he's learning new skills all the time. It's more than just singing nursery rhymes in the pool which makes us feel like we're getting value.

We have had the best time ever at Kirby Swim in Melville. Amazing Instructor we have had so far special Shoutout to Kylie, Kiara and Helen . My daughter started with her first swimming lessons since she was 5months old and she is 3 now. Seen her progress so well over these years. Thank you so much.

Terrible!! They cancelled my daughters class and didn’t notify. We only found out as we were entering the pool and then had to deal with a distraught girl who didn’t understand why she couldn’t swim. We were told it was due to staff shortages, which is understandable, however common courtesy would have been to pick up the phone and notify families (many of whom had also come with their little ones as they also hadn’t been notified). To top it all off, we were told we wouldn’t get a refund for our makeup classes but could use them for classes which were already full (and were about to expire). I would give 0 stars if I could…terrible customer service. We won’t be back.

We have had a terrific experience at Kirby Swim Melville. Our son has recently returned to swimming lessons after a 2 or 3 year break. The instructor - Emily has helped him improve his swimming strokes with excellent one on one discussion and demonstration. He recently moved up to the next level which was a tremendous boost to his confidence.We have found all the staff to be very friendly and encouraging.

I had both my boys at Kirby swim Melville for about 6 months. In that time they never progressed to the next level(both were on different levels) had frequent changes in teachers and I noted that the kids that were being progressed to the next level only tended to be the ones who were having 1:1 lessons.

Thank you Kirby swim Melville. They are an excellent place for kids to learn to swim offering one on one, two on one and small group lesson options. They are very technical so they kids may stay on levels longer but they will develop the proper techniques to swim better and avoid long term injuries from poor actions. The teachers have been excellent and my daughter is always excited when it’s swimming day. They have a very easy phone app for booking, making changes and charting progress. Easy parking with a fish and chip store next door for summer outdoor eating.

Just wanted to send a big thank you for the wonderful job that Felix did on teaching this week.He was awesome, confident, assertive enough for 6 year old attentions span but gentle enough for them, encouraging and professional.

I've tried out a few local swimming pools for lessons for my son but this exceeds all of them - by miles ! The lesson structure and methods of teaching are impeccable. All of the teachers and staff are highly professional. The pool and changing rooms are always spotless. He loves going there and we have loved watching his style and stamina develop. I highly recommend Kirby Swim to everyone I speak to about swimming lessons for kids. Keep up the great work !
