Shamir has the best lens. I had been with Shamir lens over 5 years, and My eyes feel quite comfortable, the index becomes stable and even lower this year. Their UV and blue light coating tech are quite advanced as well. I tried to switch to HOYA, but their design is not suitable to me, Shamir is the only one can give me a clear view.(By the way, just realized their blue light coating is transparent! As the other brands are normally yellowish)

I’ve had to deal with this lab directly only to find that they will play you off against the optometry company when things go wrong. They are NOT the best as they claim. They are so arrogant and self entitled. Their lenses develop crazing after 6 months which is caused by improper application of anti reflective coating. This only happened to my right lense. They refuse to take any responsibility and claim that my frames are too fragile to handle. The Service Manager was rude and aggressive telling me that my glasses have been sent back because they refuse to do anything. Avoid this lab at all costs due to poor quality of materials, workmanship and incompetence!

Monday - 17/06/2019Great place to work at/for. But...Just got let go all of a sudden, with 9 other co-workers. I worked at Shamir at the Port of Brisbane, for the last 8 months on nightshift hours, fulltime.While witnessing more permanent and younger workers that have been there longer. Just talking, mucking around and/or bullying other employees, whilst getting away with it. I should really report this one guy on nightshift for bullying.I feel sorry for the vulnerable people still working there that cant defend themselves and wont tell anybody about it.Apart from some really up themselves people there, the job is really quite easy and pleasent to work for.

I have dealt with Shamir for many years now and have found them to be efficient and pleasant to deal with. The quality of work is excellent and rarely do I find a problem. If I have urgent jobs it's a simple phone call and they do everything to accommodate my requirements.
