Shout out to 888 MEC agency I recently joined the Agency and already had an audition and landed the role I’m super excited to see what is to come and can’t wait to watch my journey unfold and new adventures that await if your worried about joining don’t.. jump on in and have ago they made me comfortable shake out the nerves and fun, did i mention relaxed, because lets be honest who doesn’t get nervous around others. hands down can’t fault.

They make you pay to join them.EDIT: Thanks for the reply, learn to use the right 'your'. Your only defence is that I'm a proxy for a new agency in town? During COVID? Comical. Reading through the other negative reviews, it seems their only response is 'we don't know you?', as if that'll deflect all the blame from them.One massive thing I noticed which was suspicious about this company are the upfront costs you MUST pay BEFORE joining their 'network'. When offering me the position, they asked me to pay an upfront fee of some $70 to be included in their user database (which is how you get picked for jobs), with a recurring fee per week until you pay the aggregate sum of some $400. Keep in mind, this fee they asked me to pay was before ANY guarantees I would even be paid for a job. Then they ask you to take professional pictures with their in-house photographer, which was somewhere around $600 for a few photos.All this in mind, the total costs of these services, one of which was essential, was near $1,000. This means you would be out of pocket $1,000 before you even got the possibility (yes, possibility, not guarantee) of being paid. Even if you do get selected for an acting or extra job, that is hours of work needed just to recoup your initial investment.No self respecting company would ask you to pay them to join. Proper modelling and acting agencies would invest money into you, as a sign of faith that they believe you'd be able to earn them money, not vice versa. I'd advise you stay well away from companies like this, for your own good.They also asked me to give them a glowing review, in order to 'up my chances' of being picked for an extras role.

I would recommend agency 888 to anyone and everyone looking to get into the industry or get back in to it. They are truly incredible and so positive and professional. They give you the best advice and really take time in telling you all your options and opportunities. They are so so welcoming and make sure you feel comfortable, and you definitely will as the office is such a warm and positive environment. They have truly opened my eyes to the industry and given me the best opportunities that I will be forever grateful for.

I joined the agency when I was just finished high school, I was super excited to join my first agency. I remember one of the managers or owner or whatever he was told me that I needed to lay off the sugar (insinuating that me losing weight would land me more roles). When I joined the agency I had to pay a fee, spent money on photos and was told I needed to pay them to make a showreel so I could land roles. All I did was spend money and got no calls for casting. Not the best experience here

Since joining I’ve worked as an extra on an TV series and have been put forward for auditions. The team are all super friendly, supportive and helpful. You will only get out what you put in. The team can put you forward for roles but YOU need to bring your A game if you want a shot at the job.Very happy with my decision to join the 888 family

My 14-year-old daughter had a fantastic photo shoot on the weekend, with beautiful results. Very age appropriate & stylish. A fabulous experience & real confidence booster as she launches into modelling & extra work with Agency 888
