The Tintenbar Teahouse

I cannot thank Keith and his wonderful staff enough for the fantastic job they did in making my wife Rhondas birthday such a special one. Rhonda loves the High Tea experience and was so happy with the time we spent enjoying the delicious array of scones, sandwiches, assorted sweet and savoury treats, and very tasty chai tea. I had phoned Keith before our arrival hoping he could supply a small cake with a candle so we could surprise Rhonda without her being aware, and he certainly did such a great job, the cake was so nice and Rhonda was so ecstatically surprised. We had our young Grandson with us, and he is a finicky eater, but that was no problem for Keith and his very accommodating Chef, who had pre organised Riley's favourite, chicken nuggets which he thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be visiting Keith and the Teahouse again in the very near future. Much appreciated Keith. Cheers.

Lovely experience with friendly service, a beautiful setting, delicious food and good coffee. The soup and the quiche were excellent. Highly recommended. Best to book as it filled up quickly.

Nice Devonshire teas and they even have gluten free scones if you call ahead and let them know. The iced lemongrass and mint tea was also delicious and the kids hot chocolates came in cute cups. The jams that came with the scones were also home made and delicious.

Service excellent. We had high tea. Excellent selection of savouries sweets scones sandwiches , all very tasty and freshly prepared. This is a real gem and well worth the detour of the main road. You will not be sorry if you are looking for a quality meal.

Far from the madding crowd.When we need a break from prim Bangalow & insta Newrybar we head here. Quiet, rustic & simple. We can chat with laid back locals & reminisce about raucous nights at the venue when it was the legendary Che Bon.It's also on the Friday Hut Rd & Fernleigh Rd easy cycle loop. An unaffected country cafe experience.

The tasting platter was one of the highlights of our trip, all the options were absolutely delicious and fresh! The smoked oyster pate was really beautiful, but so was everything else! A wonderful hidden gem

Absolutely fabulous food, service and beautiful countryside. Barramundi was perfect, followed by the best Sticky Date Pudding I have ever had. My USA born son in law had the New York Cheesecake, and rated it extremely fabulous.

Yummy freshly made scones with home made jams and cream this morning. Absolutely delicious. Friendly staff and great service. Loved it!!

Is it open or closed?We have tried to sample the delights of this Teahouse but every time we drive there during the opening hours on their web site it has a couple of CLOSED signs out front. Our most recent try was Friday 22Apr 2022 around 11:30 am. Unfortunately calls to their phone number remain unanswered.It would be great to know the owner’s intentions re the Teahouse.Maybe one day ....

Friendly staff with great service, easy going laid back environment, with view of the cows on the hill. The cafe is country home style with delicious variety of dishes breakfast, lunch and dinner and a kids meal. Couples and families will love it.
