Can always tell fresh fish when it's not wet and runny once it's cooked which this wasn't.It was tasty, and we really enjoyed it.The chips were great too.Just a pity they don't think cards as a lot of people don't carry cash these days

Not good - avoid. The place looks ancient and the food sitting on display looks it too. I took the old run down vibe to mean that it was a good old fashion fish and chip place. It's not. Thin machine cut chips, more like fries. Fish left in the fyer too long but still managed to taste old. Didn't bother to ask what seasoning we would want just put a bunch of salt on there. Didn't seem to have chicken salt. The two of us didn't manage to finish the small chips, even thought it was an extremely small portion
