Mackay Hi-Fi Repair

Quality of the food is low. There's no love involved when they chuck it together.

This is undoubtedly the worst service I have ever had in my life! Dropped my amp in to be fixed payed the 60 fee just to have it looked at and asked how long it would take as I wanted it fixed asap. Was told he would prioritise it and have a look at it as soon as possible and get back to me with a quote. I let 3 weeks pass before I followed up on the progress, he still hasn't had a chance to have a look at it, said he would get straight onto it and contact me back another 2 weeks past not even a phone call, so I called again every time being reassured I would be contacted. This went on for months with a different excuse every time, until after a couple of months he told me he had been waiting for another amp the same to come in to be repaired because he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. So basically that was the last straw because who knows when or if another would come in. This man is unprofessional, didn't seem to know what he was talking about and will not make contact with you, he has peoples electronics piled up everywhere as soon as you walk in I think he basically takes the 60fee of everyone and doesn't fix a thing! I warn everyone never ever take a thing to be repaired to this man

Does not complete work, takes money from people and doesn't return their property, serial liar and thief.

This man i a joke, ive been waiting months for a repair to be done and i even gave him a second system to use as parts. Every excuse under the sun.

I have never met a man as professional as Fred Tappert. He has set an example of a seasoned repairer in the electronic and audio repair industry. By now, I have approached Mackay Hi-Fi Repair thrice for repairs of my personal Hi-Fi speakers, power amplifiers, integrated amps etc. Never did he ever let me down. Really fortunate to have found an expert near me.

Took the time to advise me it would be cheaper to replace then repair what I needed done, very helpful as some people would take the easy cash instead of helping the customer, didn’t rush my call or try to end it quickly even when he knew from the start that he wouldn’t be doing my request

Very slow and poor customer service.
