Hello. The restaurant ambience was nice. The food tasty. I would suggest a few things though. My husband likes his meat medium to well done. However, since he purchased the lamb, I was told it is served a certain way so they didn’t need to know how he liked it cooked. It wasn’t cooked enough for him. Also when garlic bread is ordered, it would be nice to be given plates. We used serviettes because it was hot... and delicious.We will recommend it. We travelled from the Liverpool area.Thank you

This is an excellent, spacious and classy place to visit on your own, with a partner or in large groups!I visited for dinner on a Sunday night and ordered a chicken schnitzel (parmagiana).You can walk in from either the main or side street. Simply walk in and take a seat and go up to the main bar when you're ready to order.The staff were very professional and full of charm. They always appeared focused on their tasks and were happy to assist me when I asked for assistance. This made for a very welcoming atmosphere.Speaking of atmosphere, the place has had its decor updated recently, and they've gone for a dark theme (nothing the black walls and charcoal carpets, etc.), which presents an air of refinement.It does not appear that any expense was appeared on the furniture, as you'll find leather couches, wooden chairs and plush high back chairs (which were stupendously comfy!)And there's plenty of room, at least for 100-200 people in the main area (and there could be more).How was the food? Delicious.The generous portion of chicken was succulent and the chips and salad balanced it well. The wait time was around 20 minutes from the time of ordering.My meal with a glass of coke will cost you a little over $30. In my eyes, the quality of the meal and the excellent atmosphere is well worth this price.Will definitely keep this place high on my list for a revisit when I want a classy lunch or dinner in Camden again. Would recommend this to anyone.

Terrible. Place looks nice but that's it. Ordered dinner and was told it would be about 30-45mins wait - was ok with that. Food came out over an hour later. Most of it was inedible. The steak was terrible, grisly and chewy and dry for a $50 steak! The pizza tasted way to salty and like a frozen pizza - - not sure how you can get a margarita so wrong - tried so hard to finish it but could only get passed 2 pieces. The beef cheeks pasta was also dry and chewy. Atmosphere is pretty ordinary...

I just love this pub in the quaint country town of camden, nsw.I come for the food, amazing burgers, steaks and each day of the week has a different special, for example Wednesdays are 12 dollar rump steak days. Their fries are super thin and crispy, and I love that they offer a fried halumii burger for vegetarians.A huge eating area with booths, leather couches around coffee tables and of course normal seating .Now this is what stands out the most to me . The bathrooms. Please see my photo.Every single toilet is decked out like this. Extremely generous and trusting for pub decor. I highly recommend for the lunch crowd

First time we've been in the Royal for a while. The food was mainly very good but the steak was a little dry. Prices are high but that's Camden these days. Staff are very friendly and approachable. All in all it was an enjoyable night and we would recommend you make a visit.

We had to wait 45min to get our simple orders. All the cleaned tables had a Reseve sign on it. We had to ask the waitresses a few times to get our table cleaned. And the burger had lots of unchewab meat in it. Not worth for the money. If they get busy I think they shouldn't get more customers than they can afford.

After the recent renovations, the place looks beautiful. However, although the newly placed carpet is meant to limit how much noise bounces off the old flooring, it is still pretty loud inside the dining area, especially when there is large groups.The food tasted nice, i ordered a pizza, and it looked and tasted delicious. For dessert, i ordered the sticky date pudding. It tasted pretty nice, but the sticky date was a bit warmer than room temperature, and on the side was a small amount of ice cream.One of my main issues was that there was a long waiting time for food to come out.

Had Sunday lunch there, (Easter Sunday), the staff were very polite and helpful plus the meal was well presented and plenty of it, unfortunately they had run out of Coral Trout by the time we ordered at about 1.00pm. Will definitely return again

Kids loved their hamburger and pizza. Service was friendly and atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Good value for money.
