Normally the fish and chips from this venue is good but today I had to wait about 20 minutes and they finally bought out my parcel of snapper and chips. I wish that I had demanded my money back. The fish was cold and the batter tasted like it has been cooked in rancid fat. The chips were hard and cold, like they had been left over and ready for the garbage. I could not eat it and had to throw it away.

Prices were good. Shop was very clean and had a fresh smell about it.The food was probably a little well cooked but overall it tasted good.

Just had the weekend in Gatton. If you want fish and chips for dinner you have to visit the Sea Merchant. We both had crumbed cod and chips. The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection and lovely big chips. Best fish and chips in all of Queensland.

A fantastic Fosh & Chip shop on the main drag in Gatton. Was pleasantly surprised at the quality and service I received. The staff are helpful and friendly, and their displays and shop front are clean, tidy, and odourless, which is a testament to a seafood shop! I would 100% reccomend this shop!

Pleasantly surprised with this. We got the $11 mullet and fish, had a lovely crunchy batter and was a decent sized serving.

Spent $57 only to be given the wrong order (I was the only person in the shop.What I was given I would not even feed to my dog overcooked Kabana yuck! Their reply to my complaint was well you realise we had to recook the order for the other person that you were given. MANAGER Useless

Great takeaway sea food at a fair price. cleanest store i have been into for a while. and even friendly staff. Highly recomend. only thing is they need a bigger social media presents. we thought this place was purely a fresh sea food store untill we stopped in. We will definately be back.
