The Deck at Regatta Point

My müsli was more yoghurt than anything else. One meal out of 4 arrived after we had finished.

Worst burger ever and greek salad was 2 days old :(

Nice enough venue, until the garbage truck backs in and runs its engine near you, stoking, for 30 minutes while trying to talk and eat. Food was dry, cold and salty. Staff were pleasant, but disorganised. Not worth it.

I have always had excellent service at The Deck particularly since it has changed management of recent times and the food is now excellent. The calamari melts in one's mouth and the antipasto is extremely generous. The setting is one of lake views and is a place to visit often. I have not tried breakfast but lunch has certainly been a winner each time I have visited over the past months.

Lovely setting and evening but the worst crumbed fish I’ve ever had, not even half a dozen quarters of lemon improved it, very disappointing.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception there in January - the planning, lead-up organisation were handled really well. The tasting we had was very welcoming, and they were very accommodating of any special requests we had. Any time we turned up in the lead-up to the event, the staff and event manager were extremely helpful, all the way down to offering us bottled water on a hot day during the rehearsal. The staff were excellent on the night, and really made the event run smoothly.The view was stunning and encapsulated the best of Canberra - Parliament, The High Court, The Museum, Lake Burleigh Griffin etc.) and the surrounds were charming.To top it off, when we left at the end of the reception, they gave us a gift of a bottle of champagne!

Most enjoyable experience; would rate it 10 out of 10.

Arrived before 2.30pm to be told that the kitchen was closed. No hot food available. Staff texting on phone while most of the sugar containers outside were empty! To be honest I was embarrassed to think tourists would think this normal.

Hubby and I got married there in March & we cannot recommend the venue enough. Vanessa was so helpful from the start & Laura brought it all together for us on the day. The food & staff were awesome! Thanks for making our big day as special as we had hoped.

Amazing food and the staff were excellent! everything ran so smoothly and I got to enjoy some great food with a lovely view. Definitely planning to return soon!
